Gozney Collections Questions
Size and features. The Arc Lite is Gozney's most compact option — a 12" tabletop oven built for smaller spaces. The Arc steps up to a 14" cooking surface with 2-layer insulation and a digital thermometer. The Arc XL adds a 16" cooking surface for larger pies. All three share Gozney's lateral rolling flame, hit 950°F, and run on propane only.
Both share the same 30mm cordierite stone, 3-layer insulation, digital console, twin meat probes, and 3-fuel capability: wood, gas, or charcoal. The Dome Gen 2 fits two 10" pizzas or one 16" pizza. The Dome XL Gen 2 goes bigger, fitting three 10", two 12", or one 18" pizza at once. If you regularly cook for a crowd, the XL is worth the step up.
The Arc series is gas-only, compact, and built for high-heat pizza cooking. The Dome Gen 2 is a different tier entirely: multi-fuel, larger, and loaded with features like twin meat probes and a digital console. If pizza is your primary focus, the Arc delivers. If you want one oven for pizza, roasts, bread, and everything in between, the Dome Gen 2 is the answer.
The Tread is Gozney's most portable pizza oven: lightweight, ultra-rugged, and built for adventure. It hits 950°F in around 15 minutes and cooks a 12" pizza on propane. Integrated carry handles and a modular accessory system make it easy to take wherever you're headed.
Every Gozney oven is designed to be beginner-friendly. For smaller spaces or tighter budgets, the Arc Lite is the entry point. For more cooking surface and a digital thermometer, the Arc or Arc XL are the natural step up. If you want a multi-fuel oven that grows with your skills, go straight to the Dome Gen 2. Not sure? Give our experts a call at 1-877-743-2269.
The Dome XL Gen 2. It has 90% more cooking space than the original Dome and fits three 10" pizzas, two 12" pizzas, or one 18" pizza at a time.
It depends on the model. The Dome Gen 2 and Dome XL Gen 2 are available in natural gas configurations for permanent outdoor kitchen setups — natural gas installation requires a licensed professional. The Arc Lite, Arc, Arc XL, and Tread are propane only. Check individual model pages on BBQGuys for current availability.
Gas only. The Arc Lite, Arc, Arc XL, and Tread run on propane. They're engineered to replicate the rolling flame of a wood-fired oven using a lateral gas burner, so you get the authentic bake without managing a fire. If wood or charcoal cooking matters to you, the Dome Gen 2 handles all three fuels.
Performance & Cooking Questions
Every Gozney oven reaches 950°F — the temperature sweet spot for a properly fired pizza with a blistered, leopard-spotted crust.
Heat-up times vary by model: the Tread takes 15–20 minutes, the Arc Lite 20–30 minutes, the Arc and Arc XL 30–40 minutes, and the Dome Gen 2 and Dome XL Gen 2 40–45 minutes. Once the stone is up to temp, it holds heat well between bakes.
At full temperature, a pizza cooks in as little as 60 seconds. The cordierite stone floor and lateral rolling flame work together to produce a blistered, leopard-spotted crust that a conventional oven can't match. For pies that need a longer bake, dial the flame back and take more time.
Arc Lite: up to 12". Arc: up to 14". Arc XL: up to 16". Tread: up to 12". Dome Gen 2: up to 16", or two 10" at once. Dome XL Gen 2: up to 18", or three 10" or two 12" at once.
Absolutely. Every Gozney oven handles roasted vegetables, seared steaks, bread, and cast iron cooking. The Dome Gen 2 is especially well suited for full-meal cooking, with twin meat probes, a built-in timer, and enough interior space for roasting pans and larger cuts.
Instead of blasting heat from above, Gozney's burner fires from the side of the cooking chamber, rolling a flame across the dome's ceiling to wrap food in consistent, even heat from all directions. It replicates the behavior of a traditional wood fire inside a stone dome, producing the evenly baked crust and leopard-spotted char marks that define a properly fired Neapolitan pizza. It's in every Gozney oven.
Yes. The 3-layer insulation holds heat well even as temperatures drop. Allow a slower preheat in cold conditions to avoid thermal shock to the stone. Below freezing, gas flow can be affected and flame size may decrease, so plan for a longer preheat.
Because it literally is one. Gozney built its reputation supplying restaurants and professional kitchens before ever making a residential product. When founder Tom Gozney brought that technology home, he didn't simplify it — he scaled it. The cordierite stone floors, 304 stainless steel burners, and ceramic-coated construction are the same materials found in their professional ovens, engineered for your backyard.
Every Gozney oven comes with a standard 1-year warranty. Register within 60 days of purchase at gozney.com/register-your-product and that extends to 5 years — one of the strongest warranties in the category. You'll need the serial number from the underside or back of the oven. Don't skip this step.
The door is sold separately — and it's worth adding. The door improves heat retention during longer bakes and helps the oven hold steady temperature between pizza launches. Gozney makes model-specific doors for the Dome Gen 2 and Dome XL Gen 2, so make sure you match the right door to your oven.
Yes — and we'd call it essential, not optional. Moisture getting into the stone or insulation can cause irreparable damage that voids your warranty. Gozney's model-specific covers protect against rain, wind, frost, UV, salt, and wildlife, and Gozney specifically recommends them to keep the oven performing at its best.
