Customer Reviews
I bought this a couple weeks ago and am very happy with it so far. Weber has an excellent customer support.
I bought this a month ago and have used it at least 15 times so far. I love the way it cooks and I love the tray that comes with it. When I put it together I stripped two screws and call them and they sent replacements without issue. This is a great grill and a great company.
We love the Weber brand's performance and durability, but assembly was a pain. Misaligned drill holes and a bent bottom shelf made it difficult.
I purchased this grill 22 days ago. Grilled a few times with it. It is different than my old charcoal grill so I am on a bit of a learning curve, but I am catching on fast and enjoy it. I like the features, and especially the quality and I like the fact that there are numerous accessories for it and replacement parts availability for when I need it down the road.
Everything is stationed perfect, space and design!
Great unit, built to last! Living in Wisconsin we see a lot of varying temperatures and conditions. This grill handles them all, still hitting high temps for steaks in the middle of winter and rolling long low temp coals for indirect summer cooking. I do believe this grill will be on the deck for every bit of 20+years!!
I've been grilling on Weber products for over 30 years. I'm a coal advocate because of the versatility for types of fuel that can be used and the ease of adding wood chips for the right flavor. About six years ago I got into the gas-assist lighting feature and thought I found Heaven. But for my last Weber I bought the non-gas assist because I only got about three years of use out of each of my two previous units, perhaps due to the frequent use of lump coal. Not sure but replacement was getting expensive. So to the review: The good: I like the steel work table. Much better that the molded synthetic table of earlier version. The not-so-good: 1) The lower grate is not sized to the kettle and so do not mate to the welded tabs that suspend the grate. Every time I try to position the hot coals the lower grate slides to one side and rotates to dump coals into the bottom of the kettle. Either bad design or poor manufacturing control. 2) The "One-Touch Cleaning" unit seems now to be made from lighter material. Or, perhaps related to the issue above, one of the legs gets caught in the lower grate every time that I use have used the new grill. I have never had this problem with the many Weber grills I have owned in the past. 3) The location of the bolts for the "Slide Aside" lid holder, or perhaps its the bolt length, requires you to pay a lot more attention than in previous models I have owned when dropping the grill - particularly over ah hot bed of coals. Again, bad design or wrong hardware. In sum, the grill functions and I hope not to have to replace it in three years but this is the first unit I have purchased from Weber that has me working around design or manufacturing flaws each time I grill, and I'm a 12 month a year, three - four nights a week griller.
I love this grill but.....the temperature gauge is poorly located for measuring temp when indirect cooking.....Since the vents need to be over the food, so air can circulate the smoke, that a means the temp gauge is over the hot coals giving a higher temperature that what may be required for indirect temp cooking.....that forces one to use an external temp gauge for the grill and the meat......even if the temp gauge was over the meat, it is highly doubtful it is accurate......so. i suggest putting a second temp gauge next to or in front of the vents....this will give somewhat of a better indirect temp inside the grill for indirect cooking....that being said, i really like this grill and will continue to use it for both indirect and direct cooking......i know there are those who will think i am crazy about the temp gauge issue, but when you have a temp gauge attached to the grill, it must be accurate and place in the correct location to be used correctly.....just my humble opinion
After two full days of grilling, literally 2 full days, I may have a winner. Temperature is easily controllable and the tabletop comes in handy as well. My problem was assembly. It appears that the frame was "twisted" during shipment to store or something. I was able to easily get a replacement for the bottom part of the frame ( it was too far gone to assemble). When I got to the shelf top, I was only able to get two of the screws in due to "the twist". At this point, I just wanted it done, so i proceeded. two holes stripped, I'll make it work. Grilling is great and easily manageable. I just have those two holes staring at me. I'm glad I don't have OCD. When I ordered the first replacement part, Customer Service was great. no hassles.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
