This shiny new charcoal grill is exactly what I wanted, but didn't know I needed. I love the right sized shelf and cart stability firmly attached to the classic and reliable kettle. Having a color option encourages me to clean the exterior much more thorough than I ever did with my previous black kettle that was still cooking strong after 9+ years. Weber quality that is so good that I had to have another one.

I finally decided to upgrade my 12-year-old 22" Weber kettle. I decided on the top model even though it has gone up in price. I gave this a 4-star rating, because I am concerned that the gauge of the material doesn't seem as thick as my older kettle. I hope this new unit lasts me and serves me as well as my older one. I did have a problem with one of the casters that would not stay in. I had to contact Weber, and after sending pictures and a video, they finally sent me a new caster with the plastic insert. This is also a bit concerning to me. The lid also seems a little tricky to fully close and make a seal, but that may be just a learning curve for me, and I should get used to it with time. Overall, it is a very nice pit and I am excited about it. Again, let's hope it lasts because it is expensive.

I have owned Weber grills for over 40 years. On the new Performer the lid simply is too large--perhaps 1/4 inch larger in diameter than the bottom portion of he grill. I informed Weber and its chatbot said don't worry about that, all new grills smoke. That may be true, but new grills should at least share the same dimensions for top and bottom of the grill container. I am very dismayed at the cavalier disinterest at Weber in a defective product.

Grill is cheaply made. The frame, wheels, and sheet metal gauge are all cheap, lesser quality than my previous Weber Performer.

This grill replaced my 1965 bright yellow Weber kettle the was an icon in the neighborhood for decades. I was worried that the quality of the new one wouldn't compare however, it has. This is a great grill, I love the propane start eliminating lighter fluid and I especially like the table top, it's really handy while grilling. Thanks

Hi Bill. We all prefer natural lump charcoal too. The Weber Performer will be great with lump charcoal.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
