I was given the Original a year ago. I upgraded because of the total system allows me to prepare, cook and serve from one place. I use this 3 to 4 time a week. I am always expermenting with new recipes. Love the grill

This was a father's day gift from my wife and son. They thought it was time for a new grill since my old barrel charcoal grill was rusting badly. I purchased a copper original premium kettle a couple of days ago and am already enjoying a return to charcoal grilling. I encountered a couple of issues during assembly that I want to pass along to other customers. First, the legs are designed to snap into place in the kettle sockets using clips. The assembly guide (pictorial only) instructs the person to insert the clips into the kettle sockets as a first step. The clip button snaps into place through a small hole in the wall of the socket. Then the legs are gently inserted into the socket while pressing in on the button. I tried this 3 times with no success. My solution was to insert the clip into the leg rather than the socket, add a little WD-40 around the leg shaft and then insert the leg - pressing in the button to allow the leg to slip into place. Alignment was close, and using a small screw driver, I was able to tease the button to align with the hole until it snapped into place. Another issue is that one of the kettle handle crossbars was shaped as a slight "V" rather than being straight across. This was not shipping damage, but apparently a defect in manufacturing. The interior piece on the plastic handle would not fit into place against the "V". The solution was to use two small pieces of wood and a C-clamp to press the "V" out of the cross bar. The handle then fit perfectly. I cooked with the grill last night and it worked great. I like the new ash collector assembly as well as the built-in thermometer.

My Performer Premium was my Father's Day gift and other than the little hand made widgets my kids would give me through there younger years, this tops any prior gift. This thing has such well thought out features from the lid support, to the charcoal bin, to the ash clean out can. And the way the kettle is engineered, no wonder this kettle has been the grill design others try to measure up to. Best burgers we've ever cooked on the grill. I've now moved beyond just burgers and smoked some ribs. Turned out great. Thanks Weber

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
