I switched from propane back to charcoal because of the flavor and was worried about the ease and time of charcoal, but this grill has been just as easy as using a propane grill with the igniter and storage for charcoal. It was extremely well designed. I wouldn't change anything.

This is my 5th Weber grill! I've bought new and used, almost kind of like a cool tee as the wife would put it. The performer deluxe was the one I always wanted, so I saved my money for a little while then finally bought one. Best choice ever! If you are looking for a grill that will last a lifetime and a company that backs its product with great customer service choose Weber! Not to mention it will turn you into a mater of the grill!

I really like this grill! I used to have an oval-shaped charcoal grill that lasted over 20 years, and never thought I'd find one that I liked as well, but this grill is even better! It's so easy to light, and it is sturdy and tough. And now I've finally got a place to store the charcoal right in the grill stand. Fantastic!

I got this grill for christmas and it works excellent my only complaint is that the screw for the metal shelf does not line up do opine screw is not flush. That Being said the grill has the propane to start the charcoal and them I'm grilling with no Chimmney Starter (I NEVER USE LIGHTER FLUID). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GRILL.

I bought this grill 18 months ago, and after blowing through a small LP tank in the first week of gas assist charcoal lighting, I decided to connect a 20# LP tank via hose and adapter. This setup is ideal. The pressure of the charcoal assisting flame seemed identical to using the small tank, and the tank lasted an entire summer. This fall, I noticed though there is plenty of gas in the tank, and the regulator open, gas was not flowing. After thoroughly cleaning the ignition tube, and connector to the regulator hose, I tried again, but gas did not flow. I folded up my pride, put it in my pocket, and called Webber support. After going through all the level 1 tech support questions, my setup, and my attempted resolution actions, the very nice support person informed me that having a 20# tank as the LP source is not supported. Unfortunately, the support person was not able to answer why the 20# tank is not supported as the LP source, and was unable to continue the call because I was using an unsupported configuration. So, its back to prehistoric grill lighting days of a charcoal chimney, and Fritos to get the fire going. So, long review a little longer: After a happy year of using this grill, I'm now essentially back to using an expensive non-gas assist Weber Kettle.

I looked at this grill for the longest time. I finally pulled the trigger in very late August. I don't know why I waited. The grill has been great, I've done some burgers on it, dogs, pulled pork, fish, and Brats. All have been great. I'm still learning how long coals last, how many times they can be used and how many I may need to cook this or that as I've had a gas grill for the past 20 years. I live in Ohio and the weather is the only thing preventing me from taking this to 5 stars. Our winter this year came earlier and heavier than it has the past two. Once I learn the intracacies of charcoal and using the gas ignition more efficiently I'm sure I'll bump this up to a 5. The taste of the food on this is noticeable especially on chicken and burgers. What a great grill, don't wait any longer just go buy it for the spring.

Got it for myself for my 35th Birthday, March 2017. Used very extensively through the year. Gas ignition works awesomely. Work top is spacious. Cooling grate seems to be 4-6" higher than my old One Touch, which is very much appreciated. I also have a 'hand-me-down' 22" One Touch Silver, and an 18" WSM purchased Spring of 2010.

The grill is an updated version of one I bought 15 years ago and gave to a friend when we moved to CA. I loved it's ability to start charcoal without lighter fluid. I use a chimney and the gas jet works well with it. Unfortunately I had to replace the gas/lighting plumbing three times since I purchased the grill on July 4th of 2017 as they had some sort of leak even when shut off and I went thru 5 or 6 gas tanks discovering the issue. The last one appears to be working well, I hope.

If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
