Weber Performer Deluxe 22-Inch Freestanding Charcoal Grill With Touch-N-Go Ignition - Green

As a long time satisfied Weber user I can testify to the continued outstanding products they design and produce. I chose the new copper finish. It is as beautiful as I had hoped and the addition of the built in timer is convenient. We grill out year round, even in Illinois, and my new Performer Deluxe will be put to good use several times each week this summer. Thank you Weber!

It's been over 20 years since I've owned a charcoal grill,the last two were stolen out of my yard back 20 years ago! Since then I've moved and had a few Weber genesis grills,but always wanted another charcoal grill! So a few weeks ago I bought my Weber performer deluxe and couldn't be happier!!! I've used 3 bags of charcoal in the last few weeks! But a lot of it was to get used to cooking on a charcoal grill!!! It's going to be a great summer!

I purchased the Performer Deluxe model after seeing it on sale a while back. My previous grill was also a Weber but the grill only version on legs. I had wanted to buy something with a table/tray surface and this worked out really well for that. I'd never used a propane starter assist on a grill before and it's pretty awesome. I prefer charcoal for flavor but the propane makes lighting the charcoal super easy. My wife liked it so much that she started cooking some of the burgers/other items too (for 10+ years it was mainly me). On a side note - I had some damage on delivery from a big box store and Weber quickly replaced all the items and it looks great now.

I've always owned a Weber grill of some sort...going on 45 years or so and I've loved them all. I educated my children, nieces and nephews the glory of outdoor cooking and they too have gone on in their own pursuit of this great hobby. My cooking arsenal includes a Komodo Kamado and a Twin Eagles 36" Gas/Charcoal Grill with sear zone and rotisserie. I really like them both though i always would retreat to my old 22" Weber Kettle Grill. For a while, I wanted to upgrade to the Performer model as it's just so easy to do the cooking duties. I've made my purchase about a 6 weeks ago. Here is where the story of Weber and where they get their highest marks. Upon assembly, the very last screw I needed to tighten, there was a flaw in the nut that is part of the U-bar assembly and I could not get it into place...darn it!!! I called customer service and spoke with a wonderful and incredibly helpful lady who was so kind and expedient to send out a replacement part and hardware package. It showed up 2 days later here in CA and the replacement was done in 20 minutes. It's perfect. So customer service at Weber is TOP KNOTCH and thank you for that. Bottom line for me is that I really, really love this new grill. The new ash container is so easy now to empty...great design.

I bought this to upgrade from my 18" Original Weber grill. This was worth the upgrade hands down. The lighting feature using 1lbs propane tanks to start the charcoal is awesome and so much faster than waiting for lighter fluid to do its thing. will always own Weber grills and will always cook using charcoal, the taste is worth the minor wait for the charcoal to be ready. We use this grill and past charcoal grills at least 3-4 times a week even during the cold snowy winter months.

Purchased the grill. Conducted the preheat session - and the paint on the lid, exterior handle started to chip. Called Weber customer service, which was fantastic and they shipped me a new lid. I did another preheat, and the paint chipped again. I did not call customer service back - but it is frustrating that the paint on the lid would chip from the initial preheat.

We have been using Weber products for more than 30 years - two houses with more than one kettle, Genesis that we love and now our second Performer. For the first time I have to say that the modular grate is a miss. For simple cleaning, it falls in every time and that's not only frustrating but a hassle. I appreciate the BBQ Series intention but it seems that Weber has forgotten their roots. A sollid grate should come with the kettle and the rest, including the modifiable grate, should be optional accessories.

This is another outstanding Weber product. Quality construction, easy to assemble and we love the features. Got the built in lighter, which for $50 more is so worth it.

We bought this grill to replace an aged and wore out gas grill. Going to charcoal was something we wanted for flavor, but knew the convenience of gas would be missed. This model however is a nice balance having a propane ignitor which gets the charcoal blazing in no time. Of course cooking with charcoal is not for the impatient, but the food tastes so much better. We used this grill as a smoker for some ribs this last weekend and they turned out terrific. This grill was very easy to assemble (I did it by myself) and Weber even express mailed me a replacement part for a piece that was broken in the box (A+ customer service). There are additional grill-grate accessories for this model we haven't yet picked up, but I'm sure that will be in the works very soon. This grill is going to get a serious workout this summer. It's a solid unit, looks nice, and pretty easy to clean up.

I have this charcoal grill for the past 3 years. First year was an adjustment as previously had a propane BBQ, we had a lot of burnBQ as the learning process. All parts are easy to find, I already change the bottom and top grill and basket has they have almost melted. We cook a large range of food from anytime of meat, seafood, pizza... I only use wood lump, I even do BBQ in the winter and never had problem getting to the right temperature even in -30 Celsius.
