Great heat distribution; saves charcoal when closed between uses. Hook up a BBQ propane tank? Go to an RV dealer for the correct hookup hose for little money.

I Bought the Weber Grill and just love making Ribs , Chicken , Sausages ETC !! This BBQ is great love side for preparing.

I've had the Performer deluxe Charcoal Grill 22" for about 10 years now and I absolutely love, love, love it! It's the best of both worlds. Easy to ignite and that wonderful taste of real charcoal BBQ. It's been a work horse too as I use it 3 to 4 times a week when the weather is warmish; and in California, it's warm a lot. I just ordered more charcoal baskets (which are indispensable) and a new safer grill brush. I don't put the cover on it like I should and it still is standing up to the elements and my abuse! if you like the taste of real BBQ but don't like the hassle of lighting charcoal, this is the BBQ for you. I bought a new performer deluxe grill to replace my old Weber that was 16 years old and had rusted out. The new grill lives up to its name with many nice enhancements including the charcoal bin. However the supplied grill cover is a big disappointment. The first thing I noticed is it is much thinner. With a decent gust of wind it will blow right off the grill! (I have to use a brick to weigh it down.) Additionally, and to my surprise it is not waterproof like the old one. When I take the cover off after any rainstorm the grill is wet!! This has never happened before with the old grill cover. Weber, this is not the quality I have come to expect in you. You have really cheapened the grill cover in a big way! Great grill, lousy cover. Fix it!!

This is the fourth weber grill I have owned and my second performer grill and I like all of the features of the new grill

Simple, well built, and does what it is supposed to do! I've only had this for 5 months and I really like some of the things that other reviews made me nervous about, like the plastic locking casters, mine still work great and I didn't think they mattered but I prefer them to the rubber wheels casters with metal locks and frame on my other grill. When these ones weather and break, they will, I'll put the same ones back on. Also I love the propane start, it's about as convenient as a gas grill with the benefits of charcoal. I like the charcoal bin too but hands down, my favorite part is the large work top I never realized how much of an inconvenience the small shelves are on other grills until I started using and relying on this one. Now for the bad. I don't like the grate with the removable center, it makes cleaning difficult and often falls down onto the coals, when too much pressure is applied while brushing the grate. I'd prefer a solid grate and this grate be available as an option for purchase if you buy the inserts that the removable center is designed for (instead I bought the one piece grate to replace the one that it came with). Now for the part I HATE, I don't see any value in or understand why Weber ever put this junk on such a fantastic product, unless Weber is going to do it right, is the timer. What a joke, absolute dollar store junk, it continuously wants to fall off and makes a nice product feel like it came from the reject shop. The worst part is the timer probably works fine but I've never had a need to use it so I'd say they never needed to include it in their design to begin with. This thing is bad enough that I changed my review from 5 to 4 to 3 stars, then as I thought about the rest of the product, I slowly got back to 5 stars, there is just too much I like to say this isn't a 5 star product.

I love to make BBQs with my family and friends and I can say this is the best BBQ I've had. Electronic Touch-N-Go gas ignition system is great and allow user to have the charcoal ready to cook in few minutes. CharBin storage container and Removable, high-capacity, aluminum ash catcher are very useful too.

Wanted to go back to charcoal, but didn't like the process of getting the charcoal started. The gas assist charcoal starting took care of that concern. All the other features in the grill make my grilling easy and fun. No more gas grills!1

I have owned this model and its ancestors for 20 years. The older models were attractive because they offered Charcoal grilling but Gas Ignition. I went through 3 different versions over the years and loved them all ,but the older models required a special small propane tank that was hard to fill.( I bought 2 extras) This latest model incorporates many improvements including an improved charcoal bin and easier ignition system and throwaway gas supply. LOVE IT !!!
