Customer Reviews
I'll admit, this smoker came at a great price with some free add ons and all these allegedly great reviews made me pull the trigger. The smoker is built with some extremely cheap components like the temp probes, circuit board, and door hatches that easily break. Which would be fine but customer support for the product is nearly non existent. Do a quick search on this and you'll see this is a common complaint. When I ordered my grill, it was split shipped from the charcoal and the chicken attachment which inexplicably took over 60 days to ship which customer service didn't respond to multiple emails asking for updates. I'm still figuring out a solution for better temp monitoring bc the one built in isn't accurate and the actual tel inside runs wayyyy lower than actual, which has resulted in undercooking. The design of the smoker requires some modification around the grease trap or else grease fires are extremely common. Lastly, the smoker can theoretically get up to 700 degrees as advertised, however the heat is all indirect and blown in therefore it's not a great product for grilling, so now I'm considering getting an additional grill which defeats the entire cost savings of this. If there were any way to reasonably return this at this point, I would but I already spent 2+ hours building the grill, threw away the packaging, and I'm certain that the non existent customer service won't be of any help here. If you want a very affordable charcoal fed smoker and are willing to put a lot of work into this, I guess this can be the right product for you otherwise. Maybe you can come by mine since I've been so disappointed in it.

No pellets, charcoal and wood for real smoking; High temp, no gas, auto temp control, cast iron grates. owned for a couple years and have multiple problems with the lighting. Learned the sequence, (not in the manual): fill hopper, leave baffles in, grill lid, hopper top and side door open, Light pad and let burn for about 5 minutes, turn on controller, remove baffles, close lid, hopper top and side door and set temp on controller. listen for the fan. No fan, unplug from wall power and let stand for 3-5 minutes. Plug in and try again. If the setting know is not working (temp setting goes up and down when turning knob up, unplug and wait before trying again. Button cover cracked off in a few months and kept covered. App and controller are major problems; Masterbuilt is a smoker company not an electronics company. I'm replacing the controller with a 3rd party replacement.

Bought last fall and the top started fading within a month of being on the grill. a few months later it started to deteriorate and come loose at the sewn sections. I have taped it up just about all over but I will have to look for another grill cover
I have owned quite a few grills my last grill was an electric smoker which I will never own another electric smoker in my life I will stick to the masterbuilt gravity series I bought the 560 and depending on how long it lasts I will eventually upgrade to a bigger gravity series
Lasted 14 months before it faded out to a dirty grey color, deteriorated and ripped.
Very poor quality Replaced electronics and switches multiple times Didn't work again today. Grease fires ruined several cooks Don't waste your money

That's is my only problem with this model. It is a big smoker with such small hopper. Besides that it gives food great flavor and I love being able to use wood chunks also.
Great grill and smoker. Very pleased with my purchase.
Good cover for grill, and cane free fots perfectly

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
