Just purchased the Weber Performer two days ago. It's a quality grill. I plan to store the grill in my garage to protect it from the elements. The steaks, burgers, and hot dogs cooked perfectly. I tried the direct and indirect heat grilling method after light the coals with a charcoal chimney. I highly recommend the charcoal chimney starter. The thermometer is accurate. The lid holder and foldable side table made the grilling experience easier. Clean up was a breeze the next day. Solid product.

Very nice compact and functional design. Very easy assembly with quality components. Fit and finish is first class. Two elements could use improvement: 1. the swing-up table is a bit flimsy. The table needs some reinforcement and the latching mechanism needs improvement. I tend to want to move the grill by lifting on the table and rolling the unit on the two larger wheels. that table unlatches when I do this. 2. The lower wire basket suspended between the legs should be firmly attached to the two plastic cross-wheel braces to prevent the wheel sets from pulling apart when moving the unit on rough surface like a flagstone patio.

We hadn't grilled in years, but living in a rural area in Washington state where power is being diverted to California, we have more frequent power outages. Our simple fire pit just wasn't enough, and we'd sold our old grill along with our 5th wheel trailer a few years ago. We wanted something that didn't require any kind of fuel that might be restricted, as Washington state even restricts personal use of rainwater, and has some of the highest fuel taxes and restrictions in the nation. A charcoal grill is perfect for our farm, and since we don't feed large groups, it's worked out very well for hosting extended family functions and providing fire-grilled meals during the week for the 2 of us!

The quality is not as good as years past vs cost. The lid holder screws make the grate removal and install a pain when you have hot coals.

This grill is a great investment. The folding table top, the four wheels along with the lid catcher makes this grill enjoyable to use. I highly recommend this grill.

This is the 3rd Weber kettle I have owned, and it replaces a 14 year old Platinum. It came very well packaged and assembly was easy. It seems sturdy and well made, however the jury is still out on the metal side table, as the thermoplastic tables from the Platinum were still perfect after 14 years. and not subject to rusting. The only problem I have is the ash removal system is not as robust as my previous grill, and I find it much harder to remove and replace. I really think Weber could approve upon this.

So far, we love it. We have grilled burgers, steak, chicken and pork chops as well as roasted peppers. It has done a fantastic job as expected. There is nothing like grilling on a charcoal grill for authentic grill flavor. The grill itself is very sturdy and the grill grates are high quality. The lid is heavy and does a really good job of keeping the heat in when you cover the grill with it. The fold down table is great for keeping your platter and tools handy. The lid holder on the side is perfect for stowing the lid when you don't need it. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the quality and performance of this grill.

Overall good quality, metal on lid seems thinner than my older performer grill. Price is high, paying for the name. Directions like most product directions today leave a lot of room for improvement.

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
