We moved into a new house and thought about getting a gas grill, but we thought, "What's the point?" Grilling on charcoal is just so much better. It takes me back to the days of my parents' red Weber kettle grill. We bought a Performer model without the automatic starter, but we exchanged it for the model with an automatic starter. We're glad we did. The automatic starter makes everything so much easier. And this grill is a lot easier to clean than that old red Weber kettle from the 1960s.

This grill was only a few dollars more than the kettle without the table. The table helps so much and has hangers for tools. A very good idea. I have had Weber kettles for some time and they are very durable and good looking. I will always have one on hand.

The Weber Performer is an excellent value. From grilling steaks, burgers or hot dogs, to appetizers or longer cooks of brisket/ribs/whole chicken this grill is extremely versatile. I love it. I love Weber products. You cannot go wrong with this model.

I have had many Weber grills over the years and am a fan. I just bought a 22 inch performer and, as expected, it is a great grill with one exception - the grill insert. I use a chimney to light my coals and as a result I find it very difficult to put the insert in place due to the heat. I will be buying a replacement grate without the insert option as a result.

We have been using Weber Kettles for 20 years. Recently purchased the performer. We can not close the lid because it makes the coals go out. We have to cook food uncovered and it takes double the cooking time. We can't figure out what we are doing wrong.

The grill is great. However, it's larger than the weber I retired, so it takes more coal to get to the proper temp. I've used it a few times, and it seems to get up to 450 deg, then starts to cool down. I'm still trying to figure out how much coal it needs to really sear a steak.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
