What I don't like about my new grill, This is my second Performer series charcoal grill. I LOVED my first one and starting the coals with propane, and the one piece grilling surface and that the one piece grilling surface dropped right into the grill. My new grill starts the coals with propane, I LOVE that feature! The new grill has a two piece grilling surface that is a hassel to remove and replace when the grill is hot! And my new grill has bolts that stick thru the bowl ( part of the lid holding feature) into the grill that the grilling surface has to be cocked and lowered into place, not lowered straight down. Also I put the timer in it's little pocket and now cannot remove it. The timer is only for decoration as far as I can tell.

Excellent design. Didn't think it could be better than my last Performer, but it is! Ignition is much easier to use. The ash catcher design is much improved. Very happy we made the change. I will always go with Weber!

I have a 23 year old performer that has some features I like better. The ash release bucket on the new performer does not work as well and I'm not crazy about the way the plastic storage pulls out rather than opening from the top. I prefer the much more durable stainless steel construction over the table area than the enamelized finish. The bolts holding the lid when the kettle is open definitely gets in the way of the grill which can be a real problem when the briquettes are hot. The one big improvement is the smaller disposable propane bottles over the older model where the larger very rare and smaller propane tanks which can be difficult to find when the tank is too old to meet safety standards. This reengineering of the coal starting feature is a sweet improvement and while I generally use the newspaper chimney briguette starter, it is nice when one is in a hurry or the briquette chimney is not working as well as you hoped.

Love it Had standard Weber 22" kettle grill for 15 years and finally upgraded to the Performer Deluxe (Father's Day gift from kids). Has transformed my grilling! The propane starter has helped do away with frustration of a chimney and the "table" has been a delightful convenience. Had a problem with regulator at first (propane tanks leaking) and customer service quickly replaced and shipped directly to my house after an easy phone call. Works perfectly now. Love this bad boy for all grilling, sautéed vegetables with the GBS perforated pan insert, and smoking - smoked my first Thanksgiving bird on it!! Home run!! Love the built in thermometer - makes things so much easier, efficient and predictable- and delicious results.

This is my 2nd Performer. The first one is 16 years old and still fine. I got this one mostly for the propane charcoal starter. smokes alot less, keeping the neighbors' happy.

Super grill. Bowl came damaged and have been waiting for it to be replaced since Nov 23rd. I guess it isnt in current production or something.

Great grill. Last one lasted 10 years. Unlike my old grill, the ash pan is very difficult to attach when emptied. The only issue I do not like.

It's simply the best charcoal grill on the market. If you can't cook perfect food on this then maybe it's not your thing.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
