This is a heavy duty grill. There is nothing cheap about it. I was very happy when I took it out of the box to build, and saw just how well it was made. I am looking forward to many years of service from this unit,. It will not rust out like cheaper made units from other brands, Weber is a name you can depend on,

This is the Second Performer that I have owned. I received the second one as a retirement gift from my company when I retired in February. The first one lived outdoors under the eves of my patio underneath its Weber cover for about 15 years (It still functions quite well!). I use it all the time. My family gave me the rotisserie attachment for Christmas about 10 years ago. I have cooked our Thanksgiving turkey using the rotisserie ever since! Nothing beats a charcoal grill! This new model is a great improvement with the Gourmet BBQ System. The grate has a removable round section that various accessories can be used, wok, dutch oven, griddle, pizza stone and poultry roaster. I will probably get the dutch oven to start and add from there. This is the best grill for those that like to grill with charcoal!

Assembly was straight forward and we've used the grill several times in the past few weeks since receiving it. We've had a good experience with this grill. It seems to be well constructed and the propane lighter seems to work well.

If you love Charcoal BBQ but what the convenience of a gaslighting grill this is exactly the grill that you should buy. Super easy to work and assembly was not too difficult. I highly recommend this product.

This grill does everything really good. Cooking is consistent and versatile. Clean up is easy. The only thing that could be better is the shutoff valve on the propane start.

This is my second Weber Performer Deluxe Grill with the propane light feature. I bought my first one about 16 years ago. The bottom kettle finally burnt out (no replacement available and Weber customer service never returned my online requests for information - which, BTW Weber, had me looking at other brands for a replacement). I fully expected that this replacement would have been cheapened over the years. For the most part, I was very wrong about that. The materials in my new grill appear to be at least as good, IF NOT BETTER, in almost all regards than my original. For example, my older model had some sort of a plastic composite work table. The new one has what appears to be some sort of porcelain coated metal which looks like it will hold up better in the elements. There are only two areas in which I feel that the product has been cheapened - in the actual ignition system and in the ash catcher. My original grill used a piezoelectric element to spark the gas. After 16 years - that still works on my old grill. The new grill uses a battery to create the spark. It works, but that entire assembly appears cheaply made especially the cover that holds the battery that you push in to ignite the gas. No way is that lasting 16 years - I may as well buy spares now. Plus, I now have to remember to take out the battery each winter season, etc. I also find that the ash catcher, both in design and construction is less easy to use and is less heavy-duty. Another mention would be the new grill grate design with the center section that pops out to accommodate a selection of cooking surfaces (a pizza stone, a flat-top, etc.). The grill grate itself is VERY heavy duty - no problem there. But the loose center portion, although necessary to accommodate the other surfaces, is kind of superfluous. I mean, if I want a flat-top or a pizza stone, I can lay one on top of the grate, right? With the center section falling out, that means that I cannot grab a hot grate by the handle with a glove, hold it out sideways and spray it with cooking spray (my preferred method for oiling a hot grill). It is likely that I will use my old grill grate or buy a new one rather than use the one provided - we'll see. Maybe I'll get used to the new one. I would have given this 4 1/2 stars instead of 4 had that been an option - all in all, I am happy with the design and construction of this newer model.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
