Nice grill, easy to light, great work surface. Still learning about this grill as I have been using a Weber gas grill prior to this. I would have liked better information with the grill as to temperature control and how to use the baskets, when/how much to add coal, etc.

I had a natural gas fired BBQ grill which was fine, functionally, but it never gave me that wood-fired flavor of mesquite, etc. The performer is perfect! I store my charcoal or mesquite in the handy bin, then when ready to use I fill the two trays, set them on grill, turn on propane lighter for five minutes and within 30 minutes I have perfect coals for cooking. So far: steak, chicken, lobster, hamburgers, garlic bread, sausages, and hot dogs...all with that BBQ flavor I had been missing.

This is my second performer deluxe. The previous one lasted 14 years and was used a lot. As for the the new one. Couple improvements for sure. The igniter works way better than the old model, the cooking grate is beefed up a bit and the timer is a nice addition. Only negative is that the ash basket connection was changed and I could see why because the old connection was difficult, however, I'm not too impressed with the "improvement" as it's not a whole lot easier and doesn't seem as beefy as the old style. As for cooking, it's a gem just like my old one.

I just bought one to replace one that was lost in a move. I have had one for about 4 years and used it a few times a week. I had hired someone with the purchase to put it together, they rescheduled 5 times so I sent it back, I am just heart broke, I miss my BBQ, so I will look for a place to buy one that is put together and get delivered.

Great old school charcoal grill with the luxury of gas start and a work surface. I am very happy with my purchase as I chose to get back to my grilling roots. The ash catcher is easy to use and makes clean out a snap. The storage bin makes for easy access to the charcoal and wood chips.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
