Customer Reviews
It's very well made and I love cooking on this grill. A bit expensive but it is backed by 10 yr warranty
I went with Weber because I read so much about how their customer service is fantastic... and indeed I can confirm it is. The bad news is I has to use their service department in the first place. The concept of this grill is fantastic and indeed the attached propane tank does make lighting a breeze. You get all the flavor of charcoal with (almost) the simplicity of a gas grill. I can be grilling in under 10 minutes. The attached storage container is perfect for conveniently stashing away charcoal, and the work surface is handy. I don't regret my purchase and you won't either. However, there are three things I would change. 1) the ignition system for the propane failed me after about 10 months. Sometimes the spark fires, sometimes it doesn't. Customer service sent me a new ignition no questions asked. I'm fairly handy so no problem on my end to install the new one, but if you're the kind of person who never wants to mess with that sort of thing, it might bother you. 2) I worried about the plastic wheels and framing at the bottom. Would they hold up? The answer is no, no they don't. One windy day this summer the grill tipped over and the plastic frame at the bottom broke in two. Again, a replacement was sent promptly, no questions asked. 3) the grill grate is a pain to take out so I can put the charcoal in. The sides of the grate flip up to add charcoal, but the propane burner is more in the center, so I then have to take out the whole thing to get the charcoal over the flame... and you can't lean the grate on its side against the grill because then the middle falls out. So now I have to carefully lift the whole grate out and set it on the work surface, but that kinda sucks because it gets the work surface all greasy. I know, first world problems. Honestly, for me it's still worth it because the simplicity of lighting the grill has made charcoal enjoyable again. But probably a purist like my mother would balk at the idea I paid three times the normal rate for a Weber grill with so many plastic parts. For her, anything beyond the traditional version is too extra.

This is my third performer over the past 19 years. Great grill!
Best Charcoal Grilll I ever purchased. My second Performer Grill.
I like the grill however Weber dropped the ball and did not include directions or warranty info so I am not able to register my grill. Otherwise I'm happy
GBS rocks. Replaced a jet light charcoal grill I've had for about 8 years. Wish the charcoal could be moved to different levels vertically to adjust sear heat.
I have owned this model for about 17 years at my Iowa home. I ordered this same grill for my FL 2nd home. I am obviously very happy with this model; except I hate the grate with the removable center section. Why don't you make a heavy duty grate with the flip-up side sections WITHOUT the removable center section?
The big plus of having the option to light with gas is great. As well as the removable center grate for the accessories! Great for smores. mmm
This is the perfect grill! I have had both Weber gas and charcoal grills. This combines the best of both worlds with the gas starter. The grill offers a large workspace to hold several platters of food while transferring items to the grill. I would absolutely recommend this grill!
I really love my Weber Performer Deluxe. I appreciate the versatility, especially the ability to cook food in a variety of time and heat. This is a good grill for the beginner to the seasoned pro. It's great to have the attached table, timer and the ability to start coals without a separate fire starter or chimney starter. However, in my opinion, most of the attachments for the GBS system are overpriced and gimmicky. Last, Weber should include the heat deflector and warming rack with the purchase of a Weber Performer Deluxe.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
