The top of the grill cracked where the handle attaches to it and rust started occurring on the bottom portion of the grill

Completely changed my charcoal grilling experience with this grill. The temperature is easy to maintain and the features are great. I love having hooks to hang my utensils nearby and the shelf provides extra workspace that I didn't have before. Awesome grill! Thanks Weber for taking pride in your products!! One happy lifetime customer!! I will continue to purchase Weber products from now on.

I have had the Performer for about 15 years. It has held up well over time with the ignition mechanism going out after about 7 years and the rear legs rusting out at the bottom after about 12 years. We bought it because my wife liked the taste of food cooked over charcoal, while I was tired of using lighter fluid and wanted a gas grill. This was the perfect compromise, as you still get the "charcoal taste" with the convenience of a gas ignition system to light the charcoal. Overall Big Winner!!

The heavy grate is a fantastic addition to this Weber. The side table provides much needed workspace in our set-up. The lid holder is also a great feature and didn't think I would use the charcoal bin, but it has proved to be a great benefit. The only thing I would change on this is the ash catcher, it's a little cumbersome but wouldn't grill without it. I would like to see a model that has the 26" grill in a cart.

it appears that the writer has never operated a grill. Currently have a Weber Grill with a propane lighter system... cannot find details on propane lighter system on any Weber Grill

If you are interested in a charcoal grill with a Touch-N-Go gas ignition, we recommend the Performer Deluxe model. We reached out to you via email to see if we could help with anything else. I purchased this grill to replace a 15 year old Weber kettle my father passed down to me when he purchased his Performer a few years ago. It's exactly what you'd expect from Weber. I'm glad I purchased the model with the table and charcoal bin. I use them both very much. Delivery was a breeze. Instructions for assembly were clear and all parts matched up perfectly.

When first staring the charcoal and bringing the grill up to temperature, don't rely only on the top and bottom vents. Leave the lid part way off. I failed twice trying get above 250 deg when the lid was completely on.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
