I learned how to cook from watching my father. This is what he used. I bought the one I have about 27 or 28 years ago. They never wear out. The grate and the grill may need replacing but lots of generic ones fit too. Once you establish your cooking routine this is a super easy grill to use, and make exceptional meals. The one I just purchased is a birthday gift for my son. He had a gas grill but it just didn't produce the results he was used to from my efforts....

I've had my PK grill for about 5 years. I use it at least weekly. It is so versatile, easy to use, and consistently excellent. I grill and smoke all the usual proteins plus it has been great for vegetables, baking, and perfect Neapolitan pizza. I regularly cook large meals on it so size it not a problem.

This is a basic grill that is really a pain to use. Ash clean up is a nightmare. I recommend getting a cover, because the weather will make a mess of things. Very small grilling surface. Go with a Weber or Kamado.

I have had m PK for app 20 years. I replaced the charcoal grid and cooking grill once. I am 71 and this is by far the best grill I have ever owned, I wish they still made the larger version.

I remember my Dad grilling burgers on this grill when we were kids and I am 63 years old. I have never replaced a part on it and it will outlast me. I laughed when my brother-in law bought a wood pellet grill. That's not grilling. The Portable Kitchen is an American made grill that has passed the test of time.

When we bought our home last year in Sagle, ID began looking for a grill that was reasonably priced, could hold a temperature well in cooler weather and would last. After a lot of research and reading reviews I decided on the classic PK grill (the 360 was more than I had to soend). One of the deciding factors for me was its ability to work as a grill and a smoker. After a Summer of use I couldn't be happier, it is amazing how efficient this grill is. I grilled a brisket for 7 hours and had no problem keeping the temperature set, with minor adjustments to the vents you can really keep it dialed in. I am looking forward to many years of use with my PK grill.

My buddy has had one about 15 years and it has held up great so I finally bought me one also! The last grill you will ever need to buy! It works great as a smoker also when you cook indirectly! I highly recommend!

I bought my Mother one of these in 1972! My sister was so impressed with it, she went and bought her one. I still use my Mom's and it goes with camping and we camp all of the time! This charcoal grill will do it all from grilling hamburgers to smoking a whole chicken to perfection! They are like a cast iron skillet, it will last you a lifetime! These are made of cast aluminum and they will not burn out ! Thank You for still making a Great American made product that you can be proud of!

Hi Melinda, simply remove the grill grates and you can shovel or vacuum them out.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
