Introducing the Pit Boss Silver Star 3 Series digital electric smoker, packed with innovative & easy to use features that will have you smoking like a Boss in no time. Smoke low & slow or crank up the heat from 150 to 400-degrees Fahrenheit with a 1,650 watt electric element and digital control panel. Set precise cooking temperature and time with the digital control panel, featuring a readout display for at-a-glance settings information, internal temperatures and readouts for up to two wired meat probes (one meat probe is included). The digital controller also features a smoke button to manually turn on the heating element when adding fresh wood chips, as well as to increase smoke output before opening the door. Two adjustable damper valves at the top of the smoker give you even more control over temperature and airflow. The double-walled, cold rolled steel cabinet is finished in a stunning silver high-heat coating, offering 760 square-inches of cooking space with 4 porcelain-coated, height-adjustable cooking racks. A sturdy latch securely seals the door shut and features a large viewing window with external heat indicator to keep an eye on things, without sacrificing heat and smoke from breaking the seal. An oversized, front-load tray easily slides out for loading up your favorite wood chips, offering up to 2 hours of cooking time per load. A removable water pan mounted near the base of the cabinet can be filled with your favorite marinade to add more flavor and keep foods fall-off-the-bone tender. A grease tray catches drippings at the bottom of the smoker and slides out for easy cleanup. Check internal temperatures while cooking with the included meat probe, conveniently stowing away in a dedicated control panel slot. 2 front swivel casters, 2 rear locking swivel casters and a handle allow for easy placement and portability.

Good unit.

Would not work out of the box. Bad control panel. Called listed number and received excellent care and a new control panel shipped immediately. Now working as advertised and seems to do everything I need. Has better insulation than I expected. Works at 30 degrees.

Good smoker poor PID

The good Large capacity, powerful burner, movable racks are really handy overall a well built unit The bad temperature control is not accurate in my opinion the sensor is to close to the burner and burning chips. Controlling the temperature requires constant attention especially when making jerky or slim Jim's. Heat from the burning chips makes the burner kick out only adding more confusion . If I made this purchase again I would buy the analog version.

Outstanding Customer Service

I have had it for about a year and worked great until just recently when the temp fluctuations became very erratic. Tech. Support is superb, sent the sensor immediately and it will go in today. My only regret is that I didn't buy the 5 series. Makes phenomenal jerky and bacon.

GREAT SMOKER

This smoker is great!!! The board did go out on me but had no issues getting a new one at all very helpful people, the other review above or below I dont know how it will post but mine did the same thing but u have to acaully set the temp on it and how long before it cooks this smoker is wonderful

Terrible experience

I bought my 3 series digital vertical smoker in June. The first couple times I used it, it did good. The last 2 times I have used it, it has let me down. Temp fluctuates from 150° to 270° when I had it set at 225°. I had a 14lb brisket that I cut in half and after 16 hours, it still wasnt to temp.(185°). The last straw was at a KCBS competition held in our town. I used it for 1 pork butt, 1 very well trimmed brisket and 6 chicken thighs. I used 2 smokers and I'm glad I did. Pork butt never made it to temp and neither did the brisket. I even wrapped both of them to try to help get through the stall. Outside temp for these days was 65° at night and 75° during the day. It has shut down a couple times from an error. I keep it very clean and always have it set on level concrete. I spend a decent amount of money on different meats and smokers. I'm afraid this smoker will probably be put on the curb. I was really hoping this was gonna be a great smoker.

First use, not so sure.

First use I found that it produced very little smoke with apple wood chips and temperature set at 225. Vents also will not completely close. Quality seems very good but assembly was a little time consuming. Final fit up though was good.

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
