first unit after receiveing with a dented door, new one sent right away, the chip tray shorted out on the bottom to the element after 2 hours on phone sending pictures 3 times they sent whole new unit, same problem ended up bending stuff to make it work door on this unit was also slightly dented , gave up calling them

When I first started this up. I could not get It up to temp. After reading more into the manual. I realized my extension cord was not the right gauge and was too long. I discovered in order to get it to the 350f required for break in, that you need to use wood chips, and you need to bring it up to 225 for 20 minutes before cranking it up.. I plugged it directly into the wall and made sure to do this. I was able to get it to 350 to do the burn off! I think most issues with this smoker resulted from user error and a bad power source or improper extension cord!
I bought this a year ago. I kept it outside which damaged the digital control panel. The service department were helpful in sending me a new one (control panel), although failed to send me the thermometer part which is necessarily for it to operate, so a second request for a replacement thermometer was made and shipped to me. The instruction booklet is confusing and the order of button-pressing to get the thing operating is weird. It took me an hour after setting it up just to figure out how to fix the temperature and timer. I'm putting a large garbage bag over it this time to keep the control panel dry. I think I would get a mechanical-panelled unit next time and buy a separate digital thermometer instead.

Have had for a month, used it twice, was happy with consistent heat and smoke. Now as soon as I plug it in, it trips a breaker! Kinda useless!

this is the worst smoker ever !!!!! I have already had to replace the heating element after the first time I used it now 6 months later it will not hold temp WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK11111
Just purchased the series 3 and am disappointed. Went to do the cure set temp to 350 and it never got past 240. Smoked a pork butt yesterday 58 out and temp never got over 210

smoking meats primarily, does not meet max temp required by recipe...have to settle for lower temp and longer cook/smoke time
Nous venons d acheter le pit boss serie trois vertical numérique. Nous ne l avons malheureusement pas encore essayer. En effet, nous avons essayer de faire la première mise en route comme préconisé par le mode emploi, mais il ne monte pas au dessus de 150°c. Nous nous interrogeons aussi sur le fait que les deux registres de ventilation ne se ferme pas complètement . Le produit semble de bonne manufacture. Il ne manque plus qu' à fumer des qu' on a résolu notre petit problème. On a hâte de pouvoir se régaler.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight.
