It was easy to assemble, kind of flimsy but not bad. Smoker won't heat up to 350 for 30 minutes like it says to do before you cook with it for the first time.
Very slick looking design for a quality smoker. Cant wait to smoke all types of meat.
Unable to reach the 350 degree temp to do start up. Not sure we gonna like this.
I tried using this and the temp would not go above 220 degrees. Called support yesterday and waited for 35 minutes before I got anyone. The girl had me everything I had already done and still did not heat up. On phone waiting again. Would not recommend this smoker. They mention a lot about ambient temperature. May not be able to use in winter if I do get it working correctly.
I'm having the same issue as others. I just got off the phone with 480-923-9630, and they offered to send me the same heating unit that obviously doesn't work for several consumers (according to these reviews). They also told me not to use the smoker until I could do the 350⁰ burn off, which is impossible when the smoker is not built to go past 250⁰. I went out and bought my own thermometer, just in case the one on the unit was not working correctly, but that was not the issue. I would not but this smoker. The person on the phone was friendly, but not able to solve this problem. This product is going to give people long term health issues and should be taken off the shelves. A waste of money with no solution offered.

I thought my new smoker wasn't reaching temperature until I put a different thermoter in at the same level as the intetnally built in temperature probe. The large front temperature probe, the dial gets stuck at 250 degrees, the needle hits the back plate at that area. On two other temperature probes, the actual temp was 325F. So the pitboss front temp probe is bad. If they will send me a new temperature unit for the front door, I may upgrade this to 5 star. I do like the unit. I think they have a bad run of front door thermometers.

Temperature issues. Brand new and wont get above 250. Looks like the doors doesn't seal all the way either, can see light from side of door when closed.
So before purchasing this smoker I did see the reviews. Many people saying that the smoker doesn't get above 250°. However I chose to throw the meat probe The unit came with inside of the smoker during seasoning. I am glad to say that it blew well past the 210°, that is on the probe it came with. I am unhappy that the thermometer that the unit came with does not work properly. However everything else about the unit is amazing. Especially the price. If you are an amateur at a smoker I would highly recommend this unit. It is simplistic in both it build and operations!

Used it twice and it died an hour into the third use.
My kids bought me this smoker for Christmas. I put it together and tried to do the initial burn off. It would not heat past 200 degrees. I did all the trouble shooting steps and waited for warmer weather and it still will not heat up. I'm pretty disappointed, to say the least. This is my first and last Pit Boss. We have one where I work and it too is problematic, at best.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
