Customer Reviews
This was so easy to assemble it took me and my girlfriend about 25 min from unboxing to starting the initial fire up. That process took the rest of the hour we spent on it. Can not wait to fire it up tomorrow to do the reverse sear steaks for dinner.
This is the best grill I ever purchased the food taste amazing. Easy to use. You can griil smoke or bake almost anything.
I could never figure out why anyone would pay that much for a smoker. Then a friend cooked me some brisket. Ohhhh wow!!! So I bought one. It was easy to figure out and smoked the most amazing rack of ribs ever!!! Chicken turned out perfect the first time. Still working on my jerky.
i test drove it with 3 chickens. it was outstanding and exceeded my expectations!
Buy it cause it worth every penny. The food is VERY VERY VERY tasty and your entire family and friends will be impressed with your BBQing. I use my Traeger Texas Elite 34 every chance I get cause it easy to use and the food is awesome. Just get it and you won't regret it.
No need to go out to restaurants anymore with a little knowledge of cooking and this Grill I can cook way better at home..
Bought in June 2016. Takes about 1 hour to assemble maybe less by myself. So bonus for less to do. Burn in is easy to do and follow. Then July I smoked for all my N laws. This is a care free process. Just left it alone with ribs and chicken. Clean up is simple. I used a cheap little shop vac to suck out the ash. Then done. Wrap the the plate in foil as suggested-keeps the drips from burning on it- I did. There is a cool down feature on the knob. Set it when you are done. When its complete it shuts off. That is how easy it is. I use a damp cloth to clean any residue. Its a easy investment. You dont need top notch skills to use. It gives an excellent smoke ring by the way. I have the top rack also as well for more food to cook. You should install the plates with the top rack but mine were so tight that instead I just put the rack in the two holes and it fits perfectly. In five year Im going big traeger. They have me hooked.
EASY to put together EASY to break in Easy to clean Easy to use and best of all EASY to look like your a pro. Ive been smoking on a Weber Kettle and even on a Weber Genesis for several years. I didnt smoke as often as I would have liked because it was typically a hassle maintaining temperature and the right amount of smoke so I would only smoke if I had en entire day to sit around the yard and keep an eye on everything. This Traeger is basically set it and forget it. I assembled it in half an hour the break in process took about an hour and the next morning I threw 3 racks of St Louis ribs on it and only looked at it once every half hour not because I needed to do anything to the smoker I only needed to spray the ribs with apple juice. 5 hours later I pulled them off and threw on two 6 LB chickens and about 90 minutes later they were done and never had to touch a thing. It was so easy my wife actually wants to use it! In her words the chicken was the best that she ever had and that was my first time using the grill! We cant wait to cook some Brisket and some pizzas! These are the only negative comments that I have and I intend on contacting customer service to see if Im doing something wrong. I could not get the grill hotter than 425 and it was a very warm day. I put my Maverick grill thermometer in the grill to check it against the temperature reading on the Traeger and they were on average 20 to 40 degrees apart. Sometimes they would get close but more often than not they wouldnt match. According to my Maverick the grill temperature would vary up to 80 degrees. While cooking my ribs I had the Traeger set at 225 and the temp would go as low as 180 and then go up as high as 260. Then I set it at 450 while cooking my chickens and it would go as low as 380 but never get hotter than 425. It was not a windy day. That being said the ribs and chicken were both cooked perfectly. The ribs were tender and moist and had just the right pull to get the meat off the bone. I pulled the chicken off when the temp got to 165 and it was the juiciest chicken I ever had.If you are not opposed to trying a pellet grill you will not be disappointed. If you are a novice like myself you will look like you actually know what you are doing!
Although sold to me as a grill and you can grill on it it is actually a wood fired oven.Anything you can cook in your kitchen oven you can cook in a Traeger. Just try biscuits..Its forte is meat though anyway you call it exotic recipes long slow cooking (better than a crockpot) simple roasting you call it it can do it with ease and oh so tasty if you have never. Had food from a wood burner try it. The Traeger brings you competition tasting food into your yard/deck even balcony or RV hitch!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
