Favorite backyard investment . Quality and versatility throughout.
Just started using it but so far everything I've cooked has been juicy and tastey
My wife surprised me with this grill last month, and I think we use it more than our oven now! I've been a lifelong Weber fan, I own a Smokey Mountain, Kettle, and Spirit II and the Searwood can effectively take the place of all of them. I've done ribs, pork butts, brisket, chicken, steak, fries, pizzas, and burgers. Everything has turned out great. The temperature is truly set and forget, no more sleepless nights worrying if the fires gonna burnout or flare up and burning everything to a crisp. It's provides a sufficient amount of smoke, not as much as my Smokey Mountain, but plenty enough to not be an issue. The only slight critique is the searing really isn't up to snuff at least for steaks. It makes a great tasting steak, but doesn't get that crust you want.
Great grill, well built, very accurate temperature controls, easy to read screen, great results A+
Great smoker but for the money it should come with a front table
I'm a former trigger user I moved to the Weber this spring I've so far smoked a chuck roast and a pork shoulder that both turned out great I love the probe. It keeps accurate temperature readings. The app is fun to explore. I can't recommend it more the Webber Sherwood was easy to set up. The app Download quickly. The Weber is a solid grill and hold his temperature and heats up quickly
I absolutely love this grill! I have always been a stick burner fan but the ease of this grill is amazing.
I love this thing. I replaced my old Weber Genesis gas grill with the Searwood 600 XL. I was hesitant at first to give up the convenience of the gas grill. I've read and heard before that pellet grills aren't great at grilling. But, I've done quick grilling cooks like chicken, steaks, or burgers and I've done long cooks like brisket, etc. The Searwood handled it all with ease. I really appreciate the versatility and ease of operation that the Searwood offers.
This is quite a large grill, but it's worth it. The grill does heat up fairly evenly, but there are still areas that are warmer/ cooler than the set temps. I don't mind it especially when I'm cooking chicken, beef and pork at the same time. Unless you have it on the highest settings all the time, the grill doesn't go through a crazy amount of pellets
I recently purchased the Weber Searwood XL600 after researching several other pellet grills. I went with the Weber mainly because I have always bought Webers and I know they are reliable and built well. I love the wide range of temperatures you can achieve with this grill. The smoke boost option is perfect for getting a little extra smoke on the food. I wish you activate smoke boost at any temperature though.
Questions & Answers
Hi Curt. The Weber Searwood vents from the middle of the back, below the hood. This allows smoke and heat to remain in the grill cavity longer.
Asked by Curt | Answered by CurtMy Pitboss had a stack but this new Searwood does not. I believe it "vents" out the back of the lid. Asked by Curt | Answered by CurtHi Rrek. Like most pellet grills, pellet use runs between 1-3 pounds per hour depending on temperature set and environmental temperature.
Asked by Rrek | Answered by RrekHi George. For bacon on the Searwood, we would suggest using a griddle. Weber makes a griddle insert for the Searwood grill.
Asked by George | Answered by GeorgeHi Bill. The Weber Searwood actually has a flame tamer running the center of the width of the grill which will direct grease away from the flames to the grease collection.
Asked by Bill | Answered by BillHi Jeff. Yes, you would still use pellets.. Pellets are the fuel for the Weber Searwood XL.
Asked by Jeff | Answered by JeffHi Chuck. Weber uses a unique design unlike other pellet grills allowing full surface searing, front to back and left to right. It is almost identical to the way they build their gas grills.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
