I have owned my Camp Chef for about 2 years now. This has been a great smoker. I keep it indoors and try to clean it fairly regularly and it has ran great for me. One of my biggest complaints is the wheels and the leg supports they do not roll across uneven concrete and get hung up on small cracks. The legs are pretty chincy and act like they are going to buckle. The camp chef website no longer shows this model available so that is somewhat concerning. Getting things like grease buckets and pellets has suddenly gotten difficult so I hope that does not continue. Overall though this grill is way better than the traegers I have been around.

I bought this pellet grill based on a friend's recommendation on the prior model and I haven't been disappointed! The packaging from BBQguys was done right and the product arrived with barely the cardboard scratched. Assembly took 1.5 hours as I wasn't in a hurry and did it alone. You could do it in 30 minutes with another person. Instructions were well-written and easy to follow, and I love that each step that required HW had a small zipper bag labeled with the appropriate step. Made finding HW easy. All HW was included which I've seen has been a problem based on other reviews. I immediately fired it up for the first-time operation using apple pellets and that was uneventful. It does take 7 minutes to fill the auger the first time so be prepared for that. After the 30 minute first-time operation and the 20 minute cool-down I let it rest for the remainder of the day. The following day I cooked a rack of baby-back ribs, braised/smoked beef for pulled-beef sandwiches and some chicken quarters. I used the included probes and my meater probe to see how accurate the Camp Chef probes were. The probes seemed very accurate and were only off from the Meater probe by a few degrees. Now I have 4 additional probes I can use with the only downside that the Camp Chef probes don't estimate remaining cooktime. The pellet grill performed perfectly and felt almost like cheating :) I loved the ability to adjust the smoke during the cook and my wife even noticed that I was able to get a perfect amount on the meat without "over smoking" I also smoked so tomatoes, onion, garlic and jalapeno for salsa... yummy. I can't wait to cook more on the grill and highly recommend this to others looking for a reasonably priced, large pellet grill/smoker.
I bought mine over two years ago. In the beginning the Wi-Fi would drop but an upgrade about 6 months ago solved that. I use an average at least twice a week. The side kick allows the griddle or the grill box. All on one. I will never be without my Camp Chef.
The controller sucks. Bought mine new 2.5 years ago and I'm on my 2nd controller and now it's gluing bad. Won't maintain WIFI when it's very close to router, screen blacks out and wild temp readings. It'll say it's 275 then 140. I'll get the alert that's the temp is too liw then in seconds it'll read 300. Terrible.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
