Weber Performer 22-Inch Freestanding Charcoal Grill- Black

For the price, I thought the plastic parts would have been more durable then what they are. Also.....who uses plastic washers near a heat source of any type!

This grill cooked just how I hoped it would. Great air flow control kept the temperature exactly where I wanted it. Auto ash cleaning and catch pan are very convenient. The small front cart wheels work fine, but seem a little "delicate" and look like they might break easy. The grill I purchased was on display and after getting it home I noticed the lid did not set on the bowl well and the thermometer was missing. A quick call to customer service and "Bam!", 2 day late a new lid and thermometer was at the house. This is my first Weber grill, and so far, so awesome!

Assembly was relatively easy, but was lacking the support rack for the lid, I contacted the 800 number and received the parts about 10 days later. I really like the features of this grill but, had to learn some things the hard way, for instance, it's almost impossible to figure out how much air is being allowed in on the bottom draft control. So, after removing all of the ash and charcoal I could see how the draft lever works. Somewhere in your manual it needs to be described. Lastly, I still haven't figured out how to get the ash pan to dislodge to empty out the ash.

If you are looking for a charcoal grill and value a work surface, look no further. Outstanding product. Why did I wait so long to switch to charcoal?!

my only issue is that i bought a metal collar with a Rosterrsier and it doesnt sit correctly on the grill, i have battled with different people from Weber and no one can seem to get it correct, very disappointed in the quality

I love the grill! Just wish it had a left handed option or retro fit.

This is my first Weber and I am glad I bought it. The cooking surface is awesome and I love that more coals can be added without disturbing the food. I would like the lid to have a hanger inside like some of the others because when it is in its rack I feel like it reduces some of my work zone.

I have owned the grill for one year and use it frequently. It cooks great and barely looks used after a year. I especially the holder for the grill top. I added a paper towel holder that is magnetic. The heavy duty grate and the build quality is great.

It's an excellent grill. Easy to use. A pleasure to grill on. Plenty of grilling area and the folding table is a great work area. I keep ours in a storage room and the folding shelf keeps it compact. I've owned several grills in my life. The non-Webers rust out. The old Webers get handed down when I want a newer one with new features, but there's nothing wrong with them. The cart and lid rack are definitely worth the price over the models without. Especially when you're an internal thermometer and brushing periodically. Only complaint I have about this model is that I wish there were utensil hooks on both sides of the cart. I'm really strict about cross contamination and I use a set of "raw" and a set of "done" utensils and there aren't enough places to hang them. Also, I wish Weber would mark the bottom vent of all Performers to show when the handle is a quarter, half, and three quarters open because you can't tell when there are coals. They are no where near where you would assume they are. I scratched the aluminum on my vent assembly to show them.
