Good assembly instructions with easy set up. It took me about 2-2 1/2 hours, start to finish. But there is a significant cooking learning curve switching from smaller units to such a large surface. You'll need to practice before cooking something really important! Definitely get the largest chimney starter - you'll need all those briquets!! - and the fireproof leather gloves. I do miss having an adjustable height grill, but I love the temperature gauge. All in all, very pleased with this purchase.

I used my new Performer Grill to build a Hybrid Touch-N-Go grill. My 10+ year old Touch-N-Go was getting pretty worn out but the frame was still in good shape. So I bought a new Performer and dropped the grill onto the Touch-N-Go frame after cutting away the old gas starter. Now my Touch-N-Go is as good as new.

Love cooking on this Weber with the newer types of charcoal like CharBlox. Features I like are the sturdy wheel and frame parts made with plastic but with high quality fittings that should last. The grill itself has a smaller lift out center ring that makes it easy to stack and start coals with a chimney. Top and bottom air vents and bottom catch for ashes work great.

At this point, I'm happy with my switch back to charcoal. The grill is well made, was easy to assemble, and easy to use (once past the learning curve). Love the app as well!

I have been a Weber kettle user for well over 30 years. I had one of the original style 22" kettles that just literally will not die. :-) I still have it! However, I was tired of missing out on all the great features of the classic kettle that are provided by the Performer series. I am so glad I upgraded. I use my kettle for long, low cooks more than grilling, although it excels at both. With a little bit of tweaking, I am able to get over 8 hours of low and slow temps in the 250 degree range, producing awesome ribs, butt roasts, and briskets. Highly recommend for anyone considering a new charcoal grill/smoker.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
