I love my Performer! This is my fourth unit. In particular, how it combines the convenience of a gas starter with the traditional use of charcoal...a winning combination! In truth, I've been a Weber charcoal grill user for almost 50 years and have never been disappointed. And now my son is a Weber-ite also. Then, there was my father who was also a Weber griller for a couple of decades. So, yeah, we're a Weber family.

The gas start feature is a game changer, no start fluid needed and I like the lid off support. Cooked a Tri Tip roast over the weekend and it was great. Makes cooking on Charcoal a breeze. The Side table makes prep easy and the Tilt out Charcoal storage bin is also a handy feature.

This grill is like all the other webers with a few more bells and whistles. I would have given 5 stars except for the lid holder has plastic pieces on it next to the kettle. They melted on the first startup. Also the electronic ignition for the lighting burner hasnt worked from the start.

Much nicer than the one I bought over 10 years ago. Igniter is much better design. Metal counter top is better than the old plastic one, and the removable center grille is perfect!

The grill came in a box that was in good shape. All the parts were present and everything seems in order. Upon assembly I ran into issues with the rivet nuts. One side was okay but the other side were all not installed correctly. They were lose and so turned with the bolts so that you could not tighten them. Fortunately I had a rivet nut tool and was able to secure a tight fit for the rivet nuts. For a company like Weber to allow this type of sloppy workmanship to leave the factory is sad. IF I was not knowledgeable about rivet nuts I would have been very upset. After assembly the grill works well. But there is a learning curve

This Performer Deluxe is the sixth Weber charcoal grill for me. One smaller and the rest are 22" so you can tell that Weber charcoal is my preferred grill. All of the additional features with the Performer Deluxe are great upgrades to the older models. It is the one touch gas lighter for the charcoal that makes me excited.

I HATE the ash catcher. It's very difficult to manage. The older model was SO much user friendly. You lifted and turned to disengage, no squeezing and numbing of hands.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
