If you are on the fence about getting this, climb over. What a fantastic unit. The gas assist is where it is at. The only thing that would make it better is a warming rack.

the best of the best. Highly versatile, feature packed, yet simplistic in its functionality. I dont think anybody would argue that grilling with gas is better than charcoal, right? But charcoal is a pain... well this solution makes it easy and quick to get a charcoal grilled meal without much thought or prep. Just fill up the grill with charcoal, and light the propane lighter for a few minutes, viola' evenly lit coals...no hot spots no cool spots, its all evenly lit. The table is massively useful (for anybody thats ever had a weber kettle without it) and the charcoal storage is also a godsend (for anybody thats had bags made of paper filled with charcoal disintegrating on their patio). And lastly, it looks good. I have the gold kettle, it looks like a high end grill, which it is.

Bought this grill to replace my 10 year old Performer because the bottom rusted out and couldn't get a replacement part for it. Love the grill and use it often.

This is the third performer that I've owned in 25 to 30 years and I've watched the quality of them go right down the crapper. But I still like the convenience of the gas starter and the table top. I do like the electronic ignition, which is a nice feature compared to the old ones. I grill all year long and live in northern Illinois so the starter is quite convenient.

My new Weber is actually a replacement of an earlier Weber performer I had which lasted for I'd guess about 20 years I loved it but things were finally giving out. My kids thought they would surprise me with a replacement outdoor griddle for Father's Day and as much as I hated doing it, i asked if I could trade the trendy griddle in for a new Weber. So I then waited like a kid for that delivery. When I received it and opened it up I will say I felt a bit disappointed that some If Webers quality had slipped a bit. The work space was no longer stainless steel, the charcoal baskets were a bit flimsier, some enamel inside the kettle was splintered where the igniter burner entered, and the lid didn't fit as easily as the old one. I needed up reusing the old lid and it fits fine. I've been very happy with webers service in the past and I hope this grill lasts but I will say things have slipped a bit

Great grill! The Performer works like every Weber kettle, but the gas starter and tabletop are very handy! I stopped using ignitable liquids to start charcoal years ago, and this is so simple. The tabletop is handy and large enough to accommodate everything I need ( I did add a beer holder). The locking wheels are an added bonus. My driveway is slanted, and I've had a Weber roll down the driveway and tip over because of wind. This is a well designed grill.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
