Wood-clad outdoor kitchen cabinets, with stainless steel appliances, and a brick backdrop

The Marlette's dreamed of having a space big enough for family and friends to enjoy on any occassion. From holidays to birthdays, their outdoor space has been transformed into their own Southern Comfort.

For generations the Marlette family has spent countless Sunday dinners around a table covered in Italian pasta and meatballs, but the dining room seemed to grow smaller as the family tree grew larger. The Marlettes knew they needed the space and comfort of a new outdoor kitchen to host their traditional weekly meals.

Ready to shop, the Marlettes drove down to the Shoppers Choice showroom in Baton Rouge where a team of expert outdoor lifestylists helped them select pieces that prioritized good food and great company. The Blaze Prelude 32" Gas Grill can hold all of dad's BBQ ribs, and the Blaze Power Burner and Blaze Side Burner leave plenty of room for pot after pot of grandma’s meatballs and spaghetti. With lunch and dinner covered, the Cal Flame Griddle was added on for serving up eggs and pancakes in the mornings before the rest of the family arrives.

With so much grilling going on around the clock outside, the Marlettes knew they didn’t want to be bothered to go back inside for extra ingredients and clean-up. The addition of a warming drawer, sink, and Blaze Compact Refrigerator helps to keep the cooking and conversation flowing without any interruption.

Comfortable space to relax

The Marlettes’ new and improved patio nestled in the heart of Acadiana has led to more family traditions beyond just Sunday dinner, including birthdays, reunions and college tailgate parties. In between all the excitement, though, Mr. and Mrs. Marlette still find time after thirty-eight years of marriage for a quiet candlelit dinner in the Southern comfort of their outdoor kitchen.
