The classic, all-purpose grill, and it also serves as a smoker. I recently gave away my old smoker, as it was too large for my purposes, and took up too much space in my garage. In my search for a new grill/smoker, I came to realize that the Weber Kettle grill was absolutely perfect for my needs. To grill, I stack the charcoal in the middle of the lower grate, and things go per the usual plan. To smoke, I line the charcoal around the elipse of one side, along with the wood chips, and I place the meat on the top grill surface on the other elipse. Perfection every time!!

Found some great recipes on Cooks Country American Test Kitchens where they use a 22" Kettle Grill to cook Prime Rib Roast, Baby Back Ribs and Brisket. Wow have tried them, they turned out Great. This is my second one and they cook better than any other Charcoal Grill

I've had 22" kettles for over forty years but was without one for the last four years. I opted for the original, without bells and whistles. The lid had been damaged in shipping and a new one was sent to me within a few days! My one complaint is that they changed the direction of the top handle 90 degrees, so to hang the lid on the kettle is difficult, or requires two hands, definitely not an improvement. Other than that, it's great to have, especially, chicken over charcoal. It just doesn't come out the same on a smoker or grill.

Weber over the years has cheapened their grills. The metal is a thinner gauge steel making it harder to hold heat and keep temps. The lid needs a gasket to seal. A sloppy fitting lid allows air in and this will also affect your temps. They switched the venting to a vent/ash clean out. This was the worse idea as, one it doesn't seal the air intakes that well again making it difficult to hold temps. Two it clogs with grease and will get hard to move and then the wings bend. They should have stuck to the original Weber kettle. Heavy gauge steel, disk dampers which are/were the best. I own the old and have owned several of the old style and they just perform with competition worthy BBQ. I'll continue to look for old ones at rummage sales . As far as the new onesI ,throw them in the trash. Wake up Weber make the old ones again.

Good looking design, Stain on grill easily go, But lid not seat stable(fall out when u move a grill), Burned charcoal powder clean up is not that convenient.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
