New favorite. Smoke, grill, sear!
My first pellet grill. Have used it a few times for burgers and dogs. Haven't smoked anything so far, but will soon. Using the grill is like turning on an oven. Set temp and forget, it does the rest. Very easy to use. I actually like to use the app more than the controller on the grill to navigate the controls.
I do a lot of research before making a purchase as there are many choices and people competing for your business but I can't help but come back to Weber after considering the market because Webers products are not only built to last but the Weber company is proud of what they sell and stand behind it,I own a twenty plus year old Genesis that still works like the day I bought it,I bought the 36" slate griddle and now I own the Searwood XL600 and so far I've made ribs and chicken thighs that have been fantastic and I'm looking forward to a summer full of outdoor cooking with my Weber equipment and family and friends!
I spent weeks and weeks deciding on gas vs pellet and then which pellet grill to go with. I could not be happier that I picked the Searwood 600XL. The size is huge and so far I have already made a tomahawk ribeye, two pulled pork shoulders, burgers, pizzas and brownies. Everything came out perfect. The app with the recipes might be my favorite part. There is literally a recipe for every cut and kind of meat you can imagine and with the temp probes you can't screw it up. Big batch of wings about to go on for Mother's Day today and I can't wait to see how they come out.
Just WOW! Gas griller forever; but Searwood is truly a game changer. The ease of cleaning alone is reason enough to own one. The flavors are exquisite. I hope that Weber makes their pellets more available in Ace, HD, Lowe's, etc.
need to include front table, as no room to set anything
Still getting used to it, but as far as searing goes, it's not great.

We appreciate your feedback on the Searwood XL 600 Pellet Grill. We are sorry to hear it does not sear well. We want to learn more about your experience. Please look for an outreach email from our Care Team soon. Thank you!
this pellet grill is user-friendly, low maintenance and high-performance. This grill is replacing a "high-performance" pellet grill. Pass pellet grills just needed constant cleaning and maintenance, this one you just make sure you fill the pellets and let her go. The app is user-friendly. The probes are super helpful 10 out of 10.
I have been a life long Weber user, and when I saw the Searwood could smoke and grill I was sold. Overall, the build quality is lacking compare to what I am used to with Weber. The metal is thin and does not retain heat, so it must burn wood pellets very quickly to maintain any temperature. Sometimes I can't even maintain a 550f when its close to freezing outside, and we like to make our pizzas at at least 600f which was a great selling point on the Searwood(the temp). I think thicker metal for the lid and the heat spreader would be a major game changer. Honestly, I am not expecting the heat spreader to last more than a few years with how thin it is. I also feel as though it should have come with the shelves, for the price. I purchased the griddle accessory for $200, and to my surprise its quite small. We did some hibachi on it for two, and had quite a time not losing vegetables over the side of the griddle. I wish there was a griddle option to replace the entire grate, not just half of it. I also wish there was a dedicated shutdown button. But yes, overall I feel as though it earns an average rating. It does everything average, except burn pellets - thats above average lol. Overall I like it, but It could be better! I don't think it's quite up to, "Weber" quality - but that is just my opinion. Have a great day.

Quality built. Love the app but not the controller on the unit. Cooking so far has been awesome. The negatives: Not the quality of sear I was hoping for. Within 30 days have 2 error codes. One for smoke coming out of pellet housing and yesterday can't read pellet fuel gauge.

Questions & Answers
HI Cookin. As with all pellet grills, the smoke flavor may not be as pronounced. The Weber Searwood does have a smoke boost which will enhance that flavor. A lot will also depend on the species of pellets used, as well.
Asked by Cookin in the holler | Answered by WesleyHi Ken. Assembly will take approximately 90 minutes.
Asked by Ken | Answered by WesleyHi Fernsler. The lowest temperature setting on the Weber Searwood is 180 F. which may be too high for smoking cheese.
Asked by Fernsler Racing | Answered by WesleyHi Zell. The Weber Searwood is double walled. During cold weather, it may take a longer to come up to temperature, and my also use additional pellets .
Asked by Zell | Answered by WesleyHi Fred. Yes, you can smoke with the Weber Searwood without exposure to the flames.
Asked by Fred | Answered by WesleyHi Curt. The Weber Searwood vents from the middle of the back, below the hood. This allows smoke and heat to remain in the grill cavity longer.
Asked by Curt | Answered by WesleyMy Pitboss had a stack but this new Searwood does not. I believe it "vents" out the back of the lid. Asked by Curt | Answered by mikebarberHi Rrek. Like most pellet grills, pellet use runs between 1-3 pounds per hour depending on temperature set and environmental temperature.
Asked by Rrek | Answered by WesleyHi George. For bacon on the Searwood, we would suggest using a griddle. Weber makes a griddle insert for the Searwood grill.
Asked by George | Answered by WesleyHi Bill. The Weber Searwood actually has a flame tamer running the center of the width of the grill which will direct grease away from the flames to the grease collection.
Asked by Bill | Answered by WesleyHi Jeff. Yes, you would still use pellets.. Pellets are the fuel for the Weber Searwood XL.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
