When I saw the Searwood. I was impressed with the look and the way it was built. It was only a little bit more money than a propane grill.
I've been really impressed with the Weber Searwood XL 600. The food always has a rich, delicious smoky flavor that makes grilling feel effortless. I love how easy it is to control the temperature and track the cook from my smartphone using the Weber app—it takes out all the guesswork. Cleanup is straightforward, and the overall build feels sturdy and reliable. It's quickly become my favorite way to grill.
Searwood is a perfect grill/smoker it does everything all in one. U will not disappoint
Great so far wish it came with a shelf for what it cost my only complaint
Best purchase! Well worth the the price. Easy to use
Searwood XL is everything its hyped up to be! Have had multiple cooks on it and so far everything has turned out great. Plenty of smoke production which was a want for us. Definitely recommend. Only con is cheap wheel system. Its a heavy grill and it needs 4 heavy duty casters to move around better/easier.
At CapABLE Community Living, creating a warm and welcoming home for our residents extends beyond the walls of our house—it includes the meals, celebrations, and time spent together outdoors. Our new Weber Searwood XL Grill has already become a centerpiece of our backyard gatherings, and we couldn't be happier with it. From the very first use, the grill impressed us with its size and versatility. With plenty of cooking space, we're able to prepare meals for our entire home without juggling multiple rounds of grilling. The sear station delivers perfectly caramelized flavors, while the even heat distribution ensures everything from burgers to vegetables comes out just right. For our staff and residents alike, the ease of use has been a huge win. Simple ignition, precise temperature control, and smooth cleanup make it stress-free to run, even during busy evenings. It feels like a professional-grade grill, but one that's approachable for everyone in our home to enjoy. Most importantly, the Weber Searwood XL has helped us create new traditions—family-style cookouts, resident birthdays, and weekend barbecues filled with laughter and connection. Food has always been a powerful way to bring people together, and this grill has made it even easier for us to build community, one meal at a time. We highly recommend the Weber Searwood XL Grill to any family or organization looking for a reliable, high-quality, and community-friendly grill. It has truly elevated our gatherings here at CapABLE Community Living.
I had a pellet grill and a gas grill. Both were old and when my smoker died I wanted to find a replacement that would do both. I researched all the possibilities and the Weber Searwood was always a top rated grill/smoker. So far I don't regret my choice. I have grilled burgers, steaks and chicken and have smoked a number of items and have been very happy. I love the controller and how easy it is to adjust temps and the probes are a nice feature. I have the XL and the one complaint I have is that it needs 4 wheels not just two. I need to move it every time I use it and it is heavy.
I'm not particularly experienced with outdoor cooking, but by following basic recipes online I've made excellent pulled pork, ribs and burgers on the Searwood XL. People were literally raving about my ribs at a party, and it was only the second time I've ever made them. Everything I've made has had a nice smoke ring and developed a nice crust or sear marks, depending on what I'm making. Very happy and only needing one grill is awesome.
I've been using pellet grills for around 10 years now. The Searwood replaced an old PB pro series and I have to say it's been a huge upgrade. The app and controller have been a joy to use. The ash and grease cleanup is much easier. Temperatures seem to be on point and fairly stable (I still need to do the bread test to find the zones) I've owned the grill for 4 -6 weeks now, and cooked quite a bit of food, and everything has just been better on the Weber. I've done low and slow, traditional hot grilling, and used the rotisserie and I have zero complaints. The ability to use a rotisserie was a huge selling point for me and having used it 3 times already, I'd say it's a must have accessory. The quality of the grill along with the modern technology and my one interaction with customer service all adds up to a solid five star experience

Questions & Answers
Hi Fred. Yes, you can smoke with the Weber Searwood without exposure to the flames.
Asked by Fred | Answered by WesleyHi Curt. The Weber Searwood vents from the middle of the back, below the hood. This allows smoke and heat to remain in the grill cavity longer.
Asked by Curt | Answered by WesleyMy Pitboss had a stack but this new Searwood does not. I believe it "vents" out the back of the lid. Asked by Curt | Answered by mikebarberHi Rrek. Like most pellet grills, pellet use runs between 1-3 pounds per hour depending on temperature set and environmental temperature.
Asked by Rrek | Answered by WesleyHi George. For bacon on the Searwood, we would suggest using a griddle. Weber makes a griddle insert for the Searwood grill.
Asked by George | Answered by WesleyHi Bill. The Weber Searwood actually has a flame tamer running the center of the width of the grill which will direct grease away from the flames to the grease collection.
Asked by Bill | Answered by WesleyHi Jeff. Yes, you would still use pellets.. Pellets are the fuel for the Weber Searwood XL.
Asked by Jeff | Answered by WesleyHi Chuck. Weber uses a unique design unlike other pellet grills allowing full surface searing, front to back and left to right. It is almost identical to the way they build their gas grills.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
