Works great & functional when grill is in place in use. Not useful for moving grill around as in my personal use from a covered area to outside cooking area. There is no handle, as it is not designed similar to side table for Smoke Fire Pellet Grill, with a handle.

Great addition. Does delete the handle however. Sold metal construction with durable coating.

This is a good sturdy shelf. To bad it replaces the handle. This makes moving the grill a bit awkward.

I thought the shelf would be a great addition to a great grill. Until I received it and went to install it and then realized I did not think this through when contemplating ordering one NOR did Weber think this through when developing the grill and/or the side shelf. I, now and you if you order need to decide if you want the use of the shelf or the handles to move the grilll. If the shelf is on, you do not have use of the handles. This makes moving the grill difficult. A little bit of an engineering flaw?

Wanting to be "grill ready", I ordered the side table before my grill was delivered only to find that I couldn't use it with the handle in place. Given that I need to be able to move the unit for each use, the choice had to be practicality over convenience. Perhaps this should be pointed out on the website for future customers to be aware of. That said, I'm loving the grill and customer service was most helpful.

There's a design flaw in the side table. When installed you lose the side handle that allows you to move your grill (since there are only wheels on the opposite side). The table isn't built to also act as a lifting handle.

My fault, but I did not realize that this folding table replaces the handle. Since the grill is so heavy (a good thing) and I have to roll it in and out of my grill shed, I decided to wait and install it later after I improve the ramp to my shed. I may investigate the possibility of placing wheels on both ends of the grill so the missing handle would not be such an issue. Stay tuned!

The folding shelves that Weber offers for the Searwood grill are well designed, just as the grill itself is. They are sturdy, fairly easy to install, and the folding mechanism works well to raise when in use and lower when the grill is covered. I would have preferred if they were available with stainless steel, but the black paint blends in well with the grill. Be aware that the side shelf replaces the handle on the side of the grill, so if you move your grill regularly you might want to add the front shelf only. However, the additional work space the shelf provides is very useful, especially if you have the XL model!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
