Key Features
- Includes a flat top griddle insert and cast-iron grates for low and slow smoking or high heat searing
- DigitalFan for precise temperature control
- GravityFed Charcoal Hopper holds 16 lbs of briquettes or 10 lbs of lump charcoal for up to 10 hours of fuel
- Convenient fold out storage behind side shelf to prevent loss or damage to the power supply
In just 10 minutes, it can reach smoking temperatures as low as 225 F, or climb to 700 F in only a few minutes more for a perfect steak sear. The vertical charcoal hopper holds up to 10 lbs of lump charcoal or 16 lbs of briquettes, providing up to 8 hours of consistent cooking time. As gravity pushes fresh charcoal toward the fire, spent ash drops into the bin below for easy cleanup. For shorter cooks, simply insert the included slides to cut off airflow, extinguish the fire, and save your unused charcoal for next time. Enhance flavor by adding wood chunks either to the charcoal hopper or the ash bin to generate rich, smoky notes. Heat and smoke flow evenly through a precision-engineered manifold with graduated ports, ensuring consistent results across the entire cooking chamber. The main cooking area features cast iron grates and an optional flat-top griddle insert, giving you plenty of space and versatile cooking options for entertaining any party.

Was given to me for my birthday last month. I built and used a smoker/grill for several years, but this smoker is a heck of a step up! Starting the fire is a learning curve, but works according to directions most of the time. Once the fire is going, cooking is a breeze. Have smoked steaks, ribs, pork chops, deer, squirrel, even veggies, all with few problems. Had a slight problem with heat one time, turned out to be operator error, but since I had been smoking on a stick burner for years, was able to salvage that rack of ribs. I am retired, cook meats on the smoker all week, sometimes. Easy to start up, easy to clean. The fire box lifts out, has a tray for ash removal, a grease drippings tray. Take the grills out, remove the smoke chamber, remove ash, empty the trays, wash the grilles, reassemble, and you are ready to go again. It requires electricity, so have an outlet close. Once started, set the timer, let it cook! No watching the thermometer, no adding wood, unless it is a long cook that burns more than the initial load. The app on your phone is an added bonus, especially on long cooks, can set temp and time, or watch them, on your phone. If not under a roof, get the cover. I see years of service for this smoker!
I got this for my 800. The rotisserie installed in no time and is quite easy to use as well as clean up. Having the ability to add this to your cooker really opens up more options and I love that. Most pellet grills don't have thus option. I also found the price to be reasonable. I recommend this arrangement to expand on what you can turn out with what I consider the most versatile cooker out there, the 800 series.
These fire starters are great on my Masterbuilt 800. I use two squares per start and they get the cooker fired up fast. They are a good value compaired to other fire starters and they fit perfectly under the charcoal hopper.
I had been wanting a charcoal grill and stumbled upon the Masterbuilt somehow. I am so glad that I did! It was exactly what I was looking for: easy to use, controllable with my phone, able to use various types of charcoal & wood. I was comparing the 800 to the 1150. I went with the 800 due to the fact that it also included a griddle, which seemed like the better value. Assembly was not as bad as many reviews would lead you to believe. YouTube videos really helped out and I was up and running in no time. I have owned it for about two months now and every cook has been amazing. I have used briquettes, lump, and hardwood chunks. I have cooked whole turkey, whole brisket, and whole pork belly. Plenty of space in this cooker! This cooker gives you the ease of a pellet grill with much more versatility due to multiple fuel sources and the ability to use a rotisserie attachment. This cooker really comes up to temp fast as well! I can go from cold start to 500 degrees in minutes. I am simply amazed how quick the temperature rises. Furthermore, it stays at temps +- about 3 degrees. The app works great. I can't say enough about this cooker. If you are considering it just do it! You will not be let down.
It seems to work so far ok. After the first cook I had to take apart two of the pressure switches to get them unstuck so the fans would shut off when I opened the doors. I have some concerns about some of the online issues with the electronics. Especially since I've had to start messing with it already.
Absolutely garbage! For the price of this it should work flawless. It stops, binds up and reverses. When the temperature of your grill increases the worse it gets. It won't even make a full revolution. It goes clockwise and then counterclockwise about a 1/4 turn is all. Don't waste your money on this garbage.
I bought this a year ago and am really impressed. It is built very well. The temperature is very consistent and accurate. I will definitely always have one in my BBQ area
Great option for not heating up the house when we want a pie.
Smoker was dropped shipped to my home about 8 days after order. It took about one half hour to unpackage, and about two and a half hours to fully assemble. Suggest watching assembly videos online before starting. This smoker is pretty versatile, the app allows you to control the smoker remotely. The YouTube universe has a ton of videos on recipes as well as tips and tricks to get the most out of your unit. I came from using a offset smoker that you had to tend every fifteen minutes, this unit allows me to smoke overnight or throughout the day with minimal tending.
The Masterbuilt Gravity-Fed Charcoal Smoker is amazing! It's incredibly user-friendly and versatile—you can fire it up for a quick meal in no time or let it run low and slow for hours. The flavor it delivers is top-notch, and the convenience of the gravity-fed system makes smoking so much easier. Highly recommend for anyone who loves great food without the hassle!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
