Take your wood-fired cooking skills to the next level with the Pro series from Traeger. Featuring a traditional look, stainless steel side tables and enclosed storage space, the Traeger Select Pro Grill combines style with functionality. This grill body is constructed of powder coated steel with a bronze finish and boasts 36,000 BTUs of cooking power. The main grilling rack is 31 X 19 inches of porcelain coated grilling surface accompanied by a 31 X 7 inch extra grill rack for a total grilling area of 806 square inches, letting you cook a full meal all at one time. The versatility of this pellet grill allows you to smoke at temperatures as low as 180 degrees and then crank it up to 450 degrees to sear to perfection. The natural airflow inside of the grill allows for convection cooking, so you can bake a pizza right on your grill and do not have to turn your meat, unless cooking with high temperatures or if you want even grill marks. The Digital Pro controller displays the temperature inside the grill on the bright blue LED panel and is monitored by a resistance temperature detector (RTD) probe which takes 60 readings per minute to maintain the preset temperatures within 15 degrees. Dual meat probes give you perfect temperature readings on two items at once. Traeger grills feature an auto-start system that is simple and safe to use. When you turn on the grill, the auger begins to feed pellets into the firepot while the draft induction fan feeds air into it. The igniter rod is activated and glows red hot for the first four minutes to ignite the pellets in the firepot. These cost-effective pellets burn at a rate of only 2 lbs per hour on high heat, 1 lb per hour on medium heat and only 1/2 lb per hour when smoking. This energy efficient grill runs off of a standard 110 volt outlet.

GREAT SMOKER

I have had this model for 10 years. I clean it regularly. I recently smoked 4 racks of ribs and they turned out as good as the first racks I cooked 10 years ago. I love this smoker.

9+ years and still going...

Bought a BBQ400 9 years ago and have only had to replace the hot rod once. It does a great job with ribs, salmon, chicken and I've done three Thanksgiving turkeys on it. I still use my Weber to sear tri-tip and butterflied lamb since the high heat you need for those needs a more direct flame, but after searing both sides the Traegar does a great job of finishing those. The reason for four stars is that it never really seems to get over 400 (but not that I cook a lot at the temperature). For over 400 degrees: Weber gas grill

Cooks well but loses heat quickly in cold weather

We have owned this grill for about 3.5 years (purchased mid 2019). We love the way it cooks and it is quite simple to use and to clean. What we do not like is that there is no thermal cover for it. Here in the Minnesota weather, we really need that to cook a turkey on Thanksgiving with limited loss of heat. The cold weather slows the cooking down due to heat dissipation from the pit through the cover. Why is there no accessory for this pellet grill to keep the heat in the unit?

Traeger is the only way to grill...

I've had this Select Pro for several years and never had an issue with it. My family and guest love the selections of meat, fish, poultry, etc I grill on it. Great addition to my outdoor kitchen.

We bought our Traeger Select Pro Wood Pellet Grill in 2017. It has been the best grill we have ever owned. Consistency like no other!

Very happy!

I have had a traeger select pro bronze since 2001 according to the serial number the only problems I have ever had I should have prevented, chewed wires wet pellets. And replaced 1 hot rod about three years ago, this is my third traeger gill going back to 1988 or 1989 the first one I bought is still running I gave it to a neighbor. I think if you take time to learn how they operate they are the finest pellet grill made. I have friends with other brands and you could write book about them.

Poor design

We bought ours in 2017. The pellets keep jamming in the auger, even during use. I am so disappointed with the grill especially after spending so much money on it We are told we're SOL Will be buying the competitors pellet grill

Temp keeps getting too hot and turning off

We bought this grill 4 years ago and never have ceased to have trouble with the temp control. We will turn it on to smoke and leave the lid open for a few min, then turn the temp up to the desired heat...come out to check on it and it reads: HEr (Temp reaches 550 degrees and shuts itself off)...so we turn it off and let it sit and turn it back on and Repeat, Repeat.... We have replaced the whole Traeger control box from Traeger as well as nearly every other part... but that hasnt seemed to have helped either. We can have it set at 300F and it will do the same thing....ready to move onto another brand!

Love how it holds the temp

We originally had the Traeger Silverton. Well I did OK for our family there was nothing spectacular about it. I found that it had a hard time keeping an even temperature. We ended up getting the Traeger bronze select pro and even in -8°C it is able to maintain a Consistent temperature. I also find food cooks amazing evenly which again I didn't find to be the case one Silverton. Love my Traeger Bronze Select Pro product and would recommend it to anyone!

My new love ❤️

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
