Customer Reviews
I bought the Traeger Texas Elite in 2013. I have smoked burger, hot dogs, trout, salmon, ribs, butts, and brisket. Oh yeah, PIZZA, too! I was active duty until 2020. I moved from Washington State to Houston to Hawaii to Utah. She never skipped a beat! Finally after years of use and being banged around my Hot Rod went out. Called it in and I have a new one on the way for 20 bucks. HOOYAH!!! TRAEGER!!!! Thank for the years of love and looking forward to more.
2nd time I had to replace the controller on my 34 elite totally fried. This last time I put the grill on shutdown and and the auger kept running and feeding the fire bowl and it smoldered for a day and a half with the cover on. Could have caused a fire. Going to be replacing the grill and it won't be a Traeger.
I have always heard how great a Traeger grill is for smoking and this could be further from the truth. I bought this grill two weeks ago, and I had to replace the control module after my first use. There are also huge temperature swings of 50 degrees. I don't understand what is so great about this product or company. You can do a search and find many people have had the same issue with the control module and replacing parts within days of use. Also the fire would go out in the middle of a cook. Something is wrong with the production of these units. Customer support only wants you to replace parts and they won't help with replacement of the grill or discount towards a meeting purchase. I would expect that they would want to keep a good reputation. For the amount of money a customer spends on this product you would expect it to last years before you have to replace parts. It is not worth the headache and hassle. After this experience I will be returning this smoker and purchase a RecTec.

No matter what I do this thing will not get above 350°. trigger already sent me a replacement fan which made no difference. I live at high altitude and I'm pretty sure that's the reason but traeger will not admit to it.
This was a Birthday/Christmas gift. The smoker shut off three times on three separate occasions and ruined a whole chicken, brisket and tuna steak and scallions. I called after the chicken was ruined in March and it's July and still have not had a response. This product and support is garbage. Don't buy !!!!!! If I could have given it a negative rating I would have

I've had the Texas Elite 34 for just about two years. The food quality is still great, but the lid is warping and does not seal properly. I lose a bit of temperature as I cook because of it. The lid support guide also warped, allowing the lid to fall all the way back. It's a pain in butt because it gets too hot to handle and correct without gloves while cooking.

Questions & Answers
Hi, Allan. The Texas Elite does not feature a warming rack. However, the Pro Series 34-Inch does. In the Pro Series, there's about a 6-inch tall space between the main grate and the warming rack. It's about 12 inches from the main grate to the grill's ceiling. The warming rack can't be adjusted, but you should still be able to have pork butts on the main grate and salmon fillets on the warming rack. Here's the Traeger Pro Series 34-Inch Grill: https://www.bbqguys.com/traeger/pro-series-34-pellet-grill-on-cart-bronze-tfb88pzb
Asked by Allan | Answered by SethGreat question! The Digital Elite controller keeps the preset temperature within +/- 20 degrees, but there is not actually a thermometer. Some assembly is required for the cart.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
