darlene godsey Independence Mo Jul 10, 2011 Verified Reviewer | ★★★★★ ★★★★★ Number two has been ordered Order my first Meco electric grill 6 years ago..lived on a lake.Had lots of conpany,an many many cook outs.Moved to a condo the ordinance required electric grills...so my meco again fit my needs .I love it ...its a fantastic grill for the four seasons. Use it all the time.Iv"e owned big big jumbo cookers..they don't cook any better than my Meco grill!! Last night,my meco went to grill heaven,I am sure I could order a part to fix it,but I am 70 yrs young..think it best to order a new one...at this age I deserve the best!!!
Tom Foley Osprey, FL Dec 18, 2009 Verified Reviewer | ★★★★★ ★★★★★ Not a Grill Master Gas and charcoal are not permitted at our condo. I thought that would let me off the hook. A neighbor up north has one of these so I gave it a try. It works great. It sears well, cooks as quickly as gas or charcoal, and I would defy anyone to tell the difference. It is far less of a hassle than charcoal; and I haven't run out of electricity in the middle of cooking a steak yet, as opposed to gas. One of the secrets is to not be too much of a clean freak. Brush off the large debris and leave it on while you are eating. Then shut it off and it will cool down very quickly.
Joe Gluvna Lorain, Ohio Nov 15, 2009 Verified Reviewer | ★★★★★ ★★★★★ great little grill This grill is terrific. Perfect steaks. I usually set it on a little lower heat and you cannot tell the difference between these and charcoaled steaks.. Have not tried the rotisserie yet....it is worth every cent.
Pen-Pal Alton, IL Jul 7, 2009 | ★★★★★ ★★★★★ Used on houseboat in Marina We use this on our houseboat since we cannot have open flame in marina. Would recommend this for any boater. Works great and is large enough to grill for 6 people without crowding items. Cleans easily and works great!
DanLeeBo Bonneau SC May 24, 2009 | ★★★★★ ★★★★★ fantistic grill I have told friends I am very impressed with this grill cooks great, easy to clean. the only thing I would change is remove the pedestal and provide a table top cradle, for easier storage in confined spaces in RV
Chuck Las Vegas, NV Apr 6, 2009 | ★★★★★ ★★★★★ Love the grill. It's great. Love the grill. As a apartment dweller I can only use electric grills on my patio. I used to carry a small gas grill and meat and stuff downstairs to a outdoor table. Since I an disabled it was too much for me. Thank's again Meco.
none Gillette, WY Dec 10, 2008 | ★★★★★ ★★★★★ Excellent I gave it to my mom and dad for Christmas. They travel south every winter and they love it!! |
Questions & Answers (1)
Back to TopQuestion: How do these meco grills do in Midwest winters? Are they able to heat up and cook in a reasonable time? Was This Helpful? Answer: Hello. When the outdoor temperature is at least 68 degrees Fahrenheit, it'll take about 5 minutes to properly preheat the grill. If the outdoor temperature is any lower than 68 degrees, then preheating will take longer. How long this takes will really depend on how cold it is outside and how much the grill is opened.
