great. like I said you don't have to drag out the big barbq and there is no wasting charcoal. Easy to transport.

It's great for smaller meals instead of using all the charcoal on the large grill. The adjustable grills are great for quicker grilling and slower grilling.

This hibatchi is the real thing, the same type of hibatchi that you probably saw everyone using in the 1970's if you were alive then. Heavy cast iron construction makes for an excellent focused heat-source location and that makes for superb steaks (which few people outside of chefs realize should be cooked within an inch or two of the coals, unlike most BBQ grills permit). The size is right for two traditional 1.5 lb delmonico's (ribeyes) or a single 3-to-4 lb sirlion slab. Like all cast iron cooking devices, you need to oil this grill heavily before and after the first time you use it, and possibly the next couple times (depending on how good you do); once the oil is baked in, it won't rust and will provide literally decades of spendid performance. The only real downside to the grill is common to all hibatchi's of any sort that I've ever used -- the grill surface handles are made of wood, and where they meet the grill chars and gives out in a dozen or two dozen cookings. These days we use tongs to set the grill surfaces higher or lower during cooking (no sense in buying replacement wood handles -- and metal handles would burn the cook!). And because of it's weight, although it could be easily transported before cooking, it's not good for small picnics, etc. because you'll have to wait for the coals to burn out AND the cast iron to cool before you put it back in the car (plan on a couple hours after you finish cooking at least), so I consider it an ideal home unit, esp. for a family of two or three, condo dwellers, apartment dwellers or those appreciate their steaks properly fast-grilled to seal in the juices (instead of slowly smothered in smoke & dried out to chewy). Ideal to go with this purchase is a charcoal starter, a chimney-like device to quickly get the coals going by convection heat -- 15 minutes and you're ready to load the hot coals into your hibatchi and cook.

I have a large gas grill but wanted something smaller and easier to carry to the lake. The Cast iron hibachi was perfect and does a great job. No complaints here.

wood handles are too small, get hot and tend to burn hands...easy fix...replaced them with larger wood stock 1 1/2"x7" works great! worst complaint....hunting pals keep borrowing it and forget to return it.

Great little hibachi. I've been looking for an inexpensive real cast iron hibachi for a while, and this one that doesn't break the budget. Good grill for the price

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
