The grill has performed above expectations. I have not owned a Weber Kettle in over 20 years and don't know why it took so long to come back.

This is about the 4th weber I have purchased. I actually burned out my old 18" that I used for over 20 years. I alo have a weber gass and a weber smoker- well built products with good features. My new 18' has some new features that I like. You can get MOST of the ashes out of the grill with the vent closure system. Eliminates having to tip the whole bowl over to empty it. The grates fit well and the whole thing seems to close enough to put out those last coals if you want to use them on your next cook. Just wish they could design a better catch tray for the ashes.

I was intimidated by my old gas grill. I was missing the charcoal flavoring. This grill is perfect size for me and so easy to prepare and cook on. Wish I had changed earlier.

great grill but hate ash catcher very hard to dispose of ashes the way ash pan sits under grill without making a mess.

I have had Weber grills for 28 years. My old one (12 years) stopped making the charcoal turn to white ash. I thought at first it was bad Matchlight (which I do think was true.) There was also so much build up inside, I thought that might also be a problem. I just bought this new 18" grill. It has taken 30 minutes to get the charcoal hot, and I now have to take out many of the briquettes. What is going on? Is this a new charcoal issue or a Weber design issue? It takes me 3x the amount of time to cook dinner, and it isn't crispy and hot on the outside. Ugh.

I came to the site to do some research because I am thinking about buying a gas grill for super quick weeknight use, and Weber is a trusted brand to me. But I'm not sure I really need one. My Weber kettle is 16 years old and is still going strong. I bought it marked down at a local big-box retailer many years ago. Overall I prefer charcoal to gas and think it gives better flavor. With the Weber chimney starter, start up time is very fast. (What a great invention!) I have made everything from burgers and veggies to a Thanksgiving turkey. I have done fast seared steaks, low-and-slow pork shoulder with smoke and everything in between. If I DO get a gas grill I expect my kettle to sit beside it. I think the gas grill might be sexier, but my kettle is perfection itself!

It is a smaller version of the classic. It is well made, solid and not cheap feeling. Assembly could have been easier with better instructions, but overall it went together quickly. It cooks well, especially with indirect heat, but if you want direct heat for a long time, I wish you could lower the grill as the coals cool keep the heat up.

Excellent grill, perfect size for 2-3 people, but I have used it for small parties as well and it worked great! Easy to set, easy to clean, perfect design!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
