I have had this smoker going on 5 years. Love love this gravity series. Will not purchase another brand in the future. Very reliable and easy to use. Well worth it and the gravity fed charcoal is a must have, always love the smoke so such more than propane that's for sure. Highly recommend Master built!
Easy to load charcoal, easy to ignite, auto keeps temperature, and easy to shutdown when done. I had an issue with the temp sensor when I first tried to season the grates which melted the lid sensor. Customer Service showed me the parts and haven't had any issues since.
This machine can do it all! I regularly smoke brisket, pork shoulder, whole chickens. I can start before bed and she's still smoking in the morning. Not only that, once you're done smoking, you can turn it up and throw on some quick burgers or dogs. Love this thing!
I have the previous generation, Masterbuilt 560. Its like a tank. It has worked flawlessly. If it ever stops working, I'll replace it with the newest model. Its so good, two of my friends bought the same one! What makes it so good is minimal electronic moving parts (just a fan), offset heat for optimum temp control, smart, gravity feed with lump coal and real wood, and reliable wi-fi/app for monitoring from your phone. My smoked salmon, bacon and pastrami brisket has paid for this so many times over.
I am still using one of the early Gravity 560s. It transformed me from a griller to a competition-style smoker. I have a pellet grill and a propane grill, but nothing compares to the smooth smoke and control provided by the 560. I have used it as my go-to during some KCBS competitions, and it sets us apart. The ease of use combined with the reliability has inspired me to grow from a student of smoking meats into my weekend passion. From all-night brisket cooks to ribs or even drumsticks, my 560 has been through hundreds if not thousands of cooks, and I know what I am going to get. From a beginner to a seasoned smoking veteran, I recommend the Gravity line as the go-to grill that delivers cook after cook.
Unlike an offset smoker, this pit locks on to the temperature you want and fire management is no issue.
I don't have the 600. I have the 560, but I couldn't find a review for that one. I assume this the newer model. If they are about the same. I use my gravity more than I use my charcoal pits. It is just so much more relaxing, and we can visit, play washers and not worry about the temperature of the grill. I still get my charcoal flavor and can get smoke, If I put chips down in the ash can. I also can plug mine into a wall or I can move it out to the backyard by the picnic tables if I plug it into an inverter with an 18volt battery to power the fan. My brother-in-law lives next door to me has "borrowed" it because it was easier than him messing with his kettle grill for longer grilling meats. Easy to use and easy to clean. I imagine the 600 is just a little step up from my 560.
I've had my Masterbuilt for years now, mines no longer listed but I've made so much great food on mine. Being able to set it, is the best. I have the rotisserie as well, simply awesome!
This Smoker has been a life changer for me. The wifi feature is exceptional and the way it performs is like none other i will never again be without a masterbuilt gravity feed as long as i live its a whole other level and a complete game changer.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
