Good for smoking, rotisserie, easy assembly but absolutely cannot keep griddle hot enough to cook. 1:40 to cook bacon and six pancakes. No help at all from Weber. Would return it if I could. Lots of uneven hotspots and uses a lot of pellets.
Assembly was very smooth and easy I did watch a YouTube tutorial before starting. Using the grill multiple times a week now and we love it. Haven't explored the app much to see if it keeps track of total grilling hours but on bag number 3 of Weber pellets. I went to get a 600 24" at a local hardware Memorial Day sale they sold out of the 600 and had one 600XL so went big and so glad I did. Heats evenly and cooks unbelievably well zero complaints even easy to clean..
I'm pretty happy with the Searwood XL so far. The only downside I've come across is the manifold is an ash magnet. You'll need to remove the grates, flavorbar and manifold to remove all of the ash after every cook. If you don't, the manifold will clog on your next cook, which will restrict airflow and you won't reach the temperatures you desire.

One of the best rated all in one grills you can buy. It grills and smokes like a charm and will be used for years to come!

Weber did a great job of engineering this product. Everything works as designed and it has plenty of grilling space. The direct flame doesn't quite work like the videos though. So far so good
New to pellet smoking. This 600XL is everything it was said to be. Great job WEBER! I have done SALMON, CHICKEN, PORK LOIN & CHICKEN KABOBS. Family LOVES this smoker!
Have cooked a few times on my Searwood XL so far and mostly love it. Smoking on it is easy and the food has come out great. What I'm NOT happy with currently is the manual mode, which is supposed to be used for "searing" and grilling. Even on the max level, which is 10, it's been taking me 30+ mins to cook things like burgers and steaks, with ZERO sear also. My app shows me that it's struggling to hold 180 in the pitt with the lid open (which is what Weber says you need to do) and it should be cranking to 500. I have zero problems with the normal temp mode and not sure why manual mode has been underwhelming. What's also a little annoying is that I'm taking with a customer service rep (a few now actually) and they all claim they've never heard of this problem. I find this hard to believe and just want to know if there's some troubleshooting that can be done or if my unit is a lemon.
I have always liked Weber grills. Charcoal grill was great, but I got tired of dumping ashes and buying a new when the bottom rusted out. Weber's Genesis was well built and cooked great. There was no mess unless I accidentally spilled or dropped something. Well, it caught fire a few times because I forgot clean the ash and grease tray every other week. Put the fire out, cleaned it up and the grill worked fine. I gave it to my sister-in-laws because I bought the Weber 600 XL wood pellet and have not looked back. Smoked salmon, turkey, pork chops and chicken, all tasty and juicy. Got a BBQ sauce recipe from a fellow airman (last name Reese at SJAFB, NC) and I am always asked what is the name for the sauce. Now with the wood pellet adding a little smoke to it, almost like charcoal without the hot briskets. The Shutdown figure, grill and meat temp monitoring and temp alert, etc. are great. I was about to buy a competitor's wood pellet grill until I read the comparison reviews as well as "The BBQ Boys' Youtube review. They were right about how well it maintains it temps and how even the cooking temp is across the grill's cooking surface. Had an issue with the temp probe. Called customer service and spoke to an agent. Went through a few steps to make sure what issue was sent a new circuit board and probe. Once I installed it, I have not looked back. PS - Had a gas smoker that I gave away as well.
I've only had the smoker for about a month. I've been very happy with its performance and really love the smoke control at low temps.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
