BBQGuys has been great to work with the design of our outdoor grilling area through the purchasing and final details. It is my first pellet grill and I am addicted. I started using it just before Thanksgiving and had our spatchcocked turkey. Venison, elk, beef, chicken, salmon, halibut and shrimp have all tasted great of the smoker. I think my wife love's it too because I now cook more meals than she does! I like the Recteq app and ability to dial in the temperature. I would both purchase the Recteq again and purchase is from BBQGuys.

I've used the RT-1300 for almost two years now with great results every time. I got one the moment they had them available. This is my personal 2nd Recteq product, and I've gifted multiple different models to good customers over the years who also love them. Hard to go wrong with Recteq products.

I have had this grill/smoker for a little over a month. It works well but lacks features that at this price point it should have. A built in light for one. This is my first built in that does not have lights in it. Second the insert instructions are not very straight forward. The height part especially. Had to redo the cut out once it arrived because it was not very clear. This beast also is not a standard depth of a lot of built-in outdoor kitchens so take that into consideration if you already have an outdoor kitchen. If you buy the grill cover know that it's water resistant not water proof, big differences. If you can't leave pellets in your hopper when it's raining then the cover that they make should be water proof. It's not convenient to take the pellets out for weather. My Traeger that is a third of the price never had an issue with rain and I could leave that out in the rain with the cover on it and the hopper full of pellets. Overall the smoker/grill is great. The heating of the smoker, the temperature control, technology all is solid thus far. This is also my first Recteq, for all the love they get online I would have thought I was getting a premium built in grill/smoker and it's nice just a few things they are missing in my opinion.

Exceptionally built. Heavy duty. The temp holds spot on. My best friend who is one of the best cooks I know is switching from treager to this after he came over for prime rib.

Couldn't get past 2 cooks before a fire in the feeder caused a slew of issues. Then the ignitor went. Customer service is basically a DIY project to replace parts. What a waste of money. I built my whole kitchen around this thing and now looking for a replacement with similar dimensions.
I was looking for a built-in for our new outdoor kitchen. Green eggs are fine, but they are soo big and ugly. I bought this one and built a cut-out space for it next to my blackstone and have never needed anything else between those two. It has been super easy to cook with. nice, even heat. plenty of space for cooking ribs upright or several butts at a time. I actually have the previous version of this (rt-1070), but this one looks similar. My outdoor kitchen is not covered, so i had a custom cover made for a couple hundred bucks that does a good job of fitting well and keeping the moisture out while also not looking like a big trash bag. This may not be a problem with this newer version, but on the 1070, the electrical components are somewhat exposed on the left side of the unit. I had read about problems with moisture getting in and shorting out those components, so I added an external switch to my kitchen that allows me to disconnect power when not in use and reduce the risk of frying that system. So far, no issues. I would highly encourage that function if you are building it into a kitchen that is exposed to the elements.

I spent close to $4k on this built in grill. I used it twice and the pellet auger jammed after the second use. The design of the grill appears to be prone to jamming as the auger run is very long for a pellet grill and the pellets don't have adequate protection from water. Recteq offers a call in service for DIY but in my case I was not able to get the auger free despite being relatively handy. BBQGuys told me they couldn't do anything for me and it was Recteq's problem. The grill worked great the two times it worked. Now it just taunts me. Results were great the two times it worked.

Just installed the E1300 in our outdoor kitchen. It looks amazing. Trying it for the first time tonight

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
