Weber Slate 36-in Rust-Resistant Propane Griddle w/ Flip-Up Side Table - 1500216

Weber slate griddle has totally redefined this class of outdoor cooking. My mind is now on cooking and not worrying about the unit rusting or high-end maintenance.

As advertised - an excellent griddle. It gets very hot where you want it and has very good heat control. The only issue I had was the Weber gas quick connect. Tried 2 of them and neither would let you connect the grill's gas line. Used a different quick connect and no issues.

It's a beautiful machine, but unusable. Purchased from home depot, shipped with the regulator hose crushed and didn't notice this until the griddle was 90% built as it's one of the last items in the build. Attempted to contact Weber several times some emails were not responded to. Eventually told by weber they do not have the regulator for this griddle in stock and I just have to wait. Purchased 7/5 and it is Aug 5th today (for reference) and griddle is sitting in my living room unused as i believe it will not function properly with the damaged hose or may leak. Part still has not been shipped. $1049.00 for furniture at this point. I am a long time weber user but very disappointed in the service and support and lack of alternative solutions. I have nothing i can do besides wait and if they never send the part, i am out of options. Rating a 1 since i can't use it.

The slate is a big step up from their competition. Totally worth the investment. It definitely has better heat distribution for quality cooks

Plenty of space to cook an entire meal. Great temperature control across the slate. Enough shelf space for any tools, ingredients, adult beverage, you name it.

I've been using the 36 Slate for about a month. So far I love it and I'm very satisfied I chose this griddle out of the many I've researched. The 36 gives me the space to batch cook. The shelving and cabinet set up are useful in design. The griddle cleans up well and the temperature control is user friendly. I haven't used my gas or charcoal grill since I put together the Slate. I've cooked and seared all kinds of meat, veggies, pancakes, and pizza are super simple too. I wish I had pulled the trigger sooner. Out of the box I noticed some damage that must have happened at the factory because the box and packaging were in great shape when purchased and unpacked. I registered the griddle and contacted customer support, sent some photos they requested and they shipped me the replacement parts I needed. Kudo's to the support team for making it right without a bunch of hassle! I do not have any of the extra caddies and such for the 36 Slate yet but all in all I can highly recommend it and would purchase it today if I didn't have it.

Where to start - The rust resistant feature isn't a marketing ploy, it's the real McCoy; the hinged lid is smooth as silk and does a great job of helping keep the griddle clean between uses, the grease trap is an ideal size, works flawlessly and has an ideal location (front left corner) so you are not reaching across the griddle to remove grease or giving up prime real estate in the front center of the surface area. The griddle heats relatively evenly and is consistent in terms of holding temps and the storage is more than abundant. My only caution before you put your money down is this is a beast to move. If moving more than a few feet, highly recommend taking the griddle top off, relocate the base unit and then have some help reinserting the griddle top. All in all, could not be more pleased with the purchase.
