I looked between the blackwood and this one, and after long thought Bought this Slate 36" I know I made the right decision. still learning it but absolutely no complaints and love it

It heats fine and cooks fine. It is a hassle compared to a normal grill for cleanup and use. I don't use it that often because of this.

Decent Weber product. My wife & I have this in order to make big breakfasts, smash burgers & grilled cheeses for all the kids & grandkids. T-giving 2025: Success! X-mas 2025: Success! I can finally make bacon & hash browns like the diners we ate at growing up in the 80's! The griddle heats up nice & even too. Some considerations are the space & the weight. I'd recommend 30-35 sq ft of dedicated real estate & even with the caster wheels, it's a heavy beast! 5 boys, 3 daughters-in-law & 2 new grandkids & counting... This brings our growing family together so the money we spent is well worth every penny!

This griddle is awesome. I love the size, which is why I bought it in the first place, it was one of the bigger ones I came across. The flattop is heavy duty and heats evenly. I like the location of the grease trap over other griddles. I also like the ability to add the trash bag and paper towel holders. A lot of little things added up to make this griddle top notch in my opinion!

Weber has done it again! Top quality all the way around. They have literally thought of everything when it comes to flat top griddles. We went with the 4 burners system. The drip pan is also in the perfect location and large enough to hold all the waste.

So much fun to cook on the Slate. Throw your favorite proteins & vegetables on, toss around until you have crispy edges. Clean up is very easy too. I've been cooking all sorts of meals on all kinds of devices for 30 years. The Slate is by far the most fun I've had when cooking.

Size matters when it comes to grilling, especially if you entertain, and this griddle has it. Love quality of Weber products as the price tag demands it. Give yourself a couple of hours to assemble (need two people for a couple of the steps). Packaging and instructions are excellent. Accessories like warming rack a must. Cover is a little snug for my liking is my only complaint so far.

Hi Dick. Per Weber, the lid is for storage only and should not be closed when the griddle is in use.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
