We purchased 65" CU7000 tv on Friday 3/8/24 - today we go to turn on the TV and we have sound but no picture. Looked up troubleshooting...nothing worked. Will be returning the TV and will NOT purchase another Samsung TV.

You mentioned trying troubleshooting, however, I am going to put a few options below, just in case. First, let's ensure you are running the latest Firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update. Next, set the sound output for the TV speaker by going to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Sound Output. If you are connected to any external devices, check whether Digital Output Audio Format is set to Pass-Through by going to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format > Auto. I love the TV but the remote sucks. Picture quality is great. The Samsung channel TV shows are a plus. As for the remote, it took me three days to figure out how to change the volume I had to hook it up to my Bose speaker And also navigating between TV DVD player Amazon fire stick had to figure that out it's only been three weeks so hopefully I will master remote I mostly use it to turn on and off the TV or when I want to use my fire stick or DVD player. as for the TV it's great
We got this because the audio is distorted when using the speakers in our 50" Panasonic plasma tv. We tried connecting this up to the optical audio out with no joy. We then connected it up to the HDMI arc and got sound. The wife says the sound is great but I'm not of the same opinion. The sound is ok. We chose this soundbar because it was on sale and the length fit on our stand. The reason for 4 stars is because the remote is terrible and the indicator lights on the soundbar are not helpful. Luckily our tv remote will adjust the volume. But to adjust the bass and treble you must use the soundbar remote.

Nice tv for the money . The new hub and remote are great !
I recently purchased this product and I am not happy about the way it manages FLASH drives. When the TV first reads the drive it displays information about who made the Flash device and not the Device Name which is wrong. I called Samsung and they say the problem can't be fixed with is poor customer support. The problem could easily be fixed and it would be helpful.

Well I was disappointed in the quality of the sound when dinosaurs and creatures or even helicopter blades came on… because of cracking buzzing like sound that made me think the speakers are bad or something. I tried a new hdmi wire still same bummer. I thought about returning the soundbar HW-S5OB - ZA

Hi Ric Sal, Thank you for taking a moment to review the Samsung HW-S50B Soundbar. Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. When the Soundbar is connected to the Internet, Auto Update allows software to update automatically even when the Soundbar is turned off. You can also update by using the SmartThings app. If not connected to the internet, you can download it onto a USB device, and then upload it to your soundbar - no wireless connection required. Connect the USB drive that contains the update firmware to the SERVICE port of the Soundbar. 1.Go to the Samsung Electronics website (www.samsung.com) → click on the “Support” option in the upper left corner. 2.Click on “Manuals & Software” from the pop-up list > TVs & Home Theater > Home Theater > Select your model 2. Download the firmware file (USB type). 3. Unzip the file to create a folder with the file name. 4. Store the created folder in a USB and then connect it to the Soundbar. 5. A sequence of “UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON” will appear on the display 3 times. This will take around 6 minutes. - During update, do not turn it off or remove the USB. - If “UPDATE” does not appear on the display window, remove the power cord from the Soundbar and then reconnect it. - When the latest version is installed, no update is performed. - Depending on the USB type, update may not be supported. 6. After the 3 cycles are complete, the Soundbar will restart and last source used will appear on the display for about 20 seconds and then it will go off (“UPDATE” > “BYE” > “ON”) 3 times “D.IN” > off If your soundbar fails to update or is experiencing problems, please contact Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG (Ask for Soundbars), 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
