Heats up incredibly fast with consistent heat throughout the cooking surface.
Great quality grill but I miss the iron grates. This Genesis replaces a 1994 Silver Weber Grill that served me well for 30 years. We had to replace a few components in that time but parts were readily available. This new grill produces a lot of heat but, at this point, I don't think the stainless steel grates provide the even heat as the iron grates did.
Disappointed that the "port" to light the grill without the starter is gone. The starters are the first thing to go and I will miss being able to start it with a cheap butane starter. I was also disappointed that the propane tank gage has been deleted. Although it wasn't 100% accurate it at least gave some inkling as to how much propane was left. Otherwise the grill is excellent, love it.
Finally retired my over fifteen year old pal genesis with the latest version with the new steel griddle option. Excellent! Looking forward to the next generation of grilling on it!
Really enjoying this Weber Genesis S-315 so far. It heats up super fast and holds temperature really well, unlike other (past) grills that I have owned. Food cooks evenly without burning. For only being a 3 burner grill, I am very impressed.
Just bought this new Genesis to replace a 14 year old one that was still working, but the cabinet had rusted out and fallen apart. Forgot how fast a new grill heats…wow! 500 degrees in minutes. I grill multiple times a week year round, loved last Genesis, glad I stuck with this model rather than downsizing. Only complaint is it floors me Weber cheaper out and took away the gauge that shows how much propane left in the tank. For this price, come on…but otherwise love it!
Good even grilling so far. Grates clean nicely when hot with steam.
Love the grill, the only downside is that it doesn't come with a gas gauge, had to buy one separately. For the price it would have been nice.
First, absolutely download the BILT app. But, keep the written instruction manual handy. BILT is a bit generic, so reading the instruction manual in parallel provides one of the best instructions I've experience. Using common phone finger gestures for expanding and rotating objects allows you to see the assembly step from all possible angles and locations. (This was helpful a few times looking closely at where screws went through on the interior section.) And, the assembly step is animated which is actually useful. Kudos! Justifies "read the * manual".

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
