In just 10 minutes, it can reach smoking temperatures as low as 225 F, or climb to 700 F in only a few minutes more for a perfect steak sear. The vertical charcoal hopper holds up to 10 lbs of lump charcoal or 16 lbs of briquettes, providing up to 8 hours of consistent cooking time. As gravity pushes fresh charcoal toward the fire, spent ash drops into the bin below for easy cleanup. For shorter cooks, simply insert the included slides to cut off airflow, extinguish the fire, and save your unused charcoal for next time. Enhance flavor by adding wood chunks either to the charcoal hopper or the ash bin to generate rich, smoky notes. Heat and smoke flow evenly through a precision-engineered manifold with graduated ports, ensuring consistent results across the entire cooking chamber. The main cooking area features cast iron grates and an optional flat-top griddle insert, giving you plenty of space and versatile cooking options for entertaining any party.

This is just my opinion im not a fan of it maverick im just spoiled with my gravity feed smoker
Works great for the early morning cooks bacon ,eggs and sausage also works great for those hibachi nights
I bought my gravity 1050 about 2 years ago and it is the best thing I have ever bought. I bought a pitboss 1150 2 days before I bought the Masterbuilt and I knew when I bought The Masterbuilt that I was keeping it for sure over the pitboss. I threw the pitboss in the trash because it sucked compared to the masterbuilt. I cook and smoke everything on it. It has such a better flavor than a pellet smoke and it is so easy to use. I have easily over 100 cooks and probably 30 over night smokes on this machine. I am definitely recommending Masterbuilt to friends and family. I would love to upgrade to a new 1150 sometime.
The Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050 is a versatile charcoal grill and smoker that combines traditional smoking techniques with modern technology. The grill maintains a steady temperature with minimal fluctuations (around 10°F), making it suitable for both low-and-slow smoking and high-temperature grilling. It can smoke, grill, sear, and bake; the Masterbuilt 1050 excels across various cooking methods. It can reach up to 700°F in just 15 minutes, making it effective for quick grilling sessions. Initial assembly might take time, but once set up, the grill is user-friendly. The digital panel simplifies adjustments, though some users have reported occasional issues with app connectivity; I have none. The Masterbuilt Gravity Series 1050 is an excellent option for serious outdoor cooks. Its blend of traditional charcoal flavor with modern convenience makes it a standout choice among smokers. If you value versatility and ease of use, this grill is worth considering, despite some minor flaws.
I bought this smoker because I was looking/ shopping around for a good smoker. I saw one from this friend and I just fell in love with it. It was like love at first sight. I'm so grateful I was able to buy this product because it has made my cooking a lot easier and my food is coming out wonderful.
I love using the Masterbuilt Fire Starters. They fit easily into the ignition chamber in my Gravity Series 600 and light my charcoal quickly. Definitely worth keeping a box on hand for your grilling and smoking.
All my skills smoking on a regular charcoal grill rendered useless. Just set and forget. Works so good I had to get the XT when it came out.
I have tried various starters with my Masterbuilt 1050 and although, other brand starters work fine, I still feel the Masterbuilt Fire Starters are slightly better. Perhaps its a bit of brand loyalty, but cant go wrong with them. They do exactly what they were designed to do.
I bought this a few years ago to be able to make cooking fish a bit easier. It work perfect for what I am cooking and having spent time working in a restaurant kitchen, I attest reminds me very much of professional griddle. It was not hard to insert into my 1050 and very much quality.
I bought my Masterbuilt 1050 a few years ago and although I have had to replace several parts and it has caught on fire twice. It is still the best grill I ever owned. Eventually I will put out the money for the newest one but until then I continue to use my 1050 to the fullest. For a reference, My only feedback is that when the controller goes, make sure to order a new one from Masterbuilt only, as both times I had issue, it was due to the digital board failing somewhere. This in turn caused damage to other parts.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
