I purchased the Lumin Grill because our condo association does not allow gas or other grills. The Lumin had some damage when it arrived and I contacted customer service. Within days, I received a new upper lid for my grill. Looks like new! I am still learning how to get the temperature where I want it to grill different items but so far, we haven't over cooked or under cooked anything we've cooked. I've only had the grill for a short period of time but so far, it is working pretty well. Just the right size for my wife and I and easy to move around our deck. Customer service was excellent and performance so far is excellent.
Love it. For two or four max. Easy to use. Love the steam and smoke option.
A terrific convenient grilling option, easy to use and makes great, steaks, burgers and even smoked baby back ribs. I followed the instructions in the manual and on you tube for smoking and it worked extremely well. for fathers day I made 3 slabs of baby back ribs that my guests enjoyed and even asked to take some home. I would rate this grill 5 stars if it was easier to clean, especially the tray under the heating element. An nice to have feature would be a temperature probe for the meat so that we could tell when the food was done without opening the lid.
I've still only used it a few times as we settle into our new house, but the Lumin has far exceeded my expectations. My original expectation was that this would be like a big George Foreman grill, but the sear this thing gives and the flavor of the food I've made is exceptional. Charcoal may still be king, but the difference between what I've cooked on this vs a gas grill is almost non-existent. Cleanup is also better than I thought. Yes, there's the matter of removing two screw to clean underneath, but once you do it one time, it's really not that big a deal. I can't wait to try out the steam and smoker options, but frankly those would just be a bonus. We are already thrilled with our purchase!
Thus far this grill has exceeded expectations in every way. It reaches 650F. Cleaning is so much easier than the Weber Q grill which it replaces. We like the grease trap. It's easily removed for cleaning. It grills our ribeye steaks to a medium rare level in about eight minutes. The smoke chimney is effective. We have a minor gripe. The grates are painted and when first heated the paint starts coming off. I recommend brushing the grates after your first heating test to avoid any paint on your food. The optional grill stand was, for us, a nightmare to assemble. I recommend skipping the stand and placing the grill on a metal table for cooking.
We live in a building where gas or charcoal grills are not allowed. So we find Weber Lumin electric grill to be a fairly good compromise. It requires no assembly, heats fast and is the closest thing to other types of grill. We however had to get a different BBQ stand from the one made by Weber which is plastic made, not well built and extremely shaky; consequently we had to return the stand but are happy with the grill. We bought a metal on wheels BBQ stand from Rona which is a perfect fit for it .
An excellent barbecue for an apartment deck. It works well and heats up quickly. It is easy to keep clean and is probably as efficient as my Weber gas barbecue which I had for almost 15 years.
This Lumin BBQ so far is great, we cooked chicken steak and hamburgers and found no différence from our former gas BBQ. The only drawback is that it takes a while for it to heat up to 610 degrees.
If you are like me and forced into a no open flame policy at your residence, look no further, this grill works! I was skeptical about having to use an electric grill but am amazed at the solid build and power of the Weber Lumin Grill. It FEELS like a grill, It works like a grill. It is no suped up panini maker. I live right next to Lake Michigan and the 'spring' weather is brutal. The Lumin grill got hot (550+, 600+ if I let it heat up longer) each time and once it was hot, stayed that way. The grates are cast iron so they retain heat well. I cook out all the time (3+ per week) and it is always ready to go, even when the outside temp is in the 30's and there is a brisk wind coming off the lake. I have done a full rack of baby back ribs to lamb chops to steaks and veggies. No issues. Of course, it is not a gas grill and needs some extra time to heat up, and some food takes a little longer, but nothing unmanageable. I am simply amazed at how well the Lumin grill works. I wish to congratulate the engineers, designers, and everyone who helped produce and manufacture this grill. I guess I shuold not be so suprised since it is a Weber. My last gas grill was a Weber and it was the best one I ever owned. Now I am happy they put the same effort into an electric grill. I do not write reviews but I felt that this grill is such a 'life saver' for me to be able to still grill outdoors that I cannot express enough how impressed I am with the Lumin.
Love the convenience of electric and never having to fill a propane tank again. Unfortunately the controller unit broke within less than a year of use. Great customer service as Weber sent a replacement free of charge after a few emails back and forth.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
