Best pellet grill I've owned. It smokes and grills better than the pit boss or camp chef that I've had in previous years. Definitely a higher tier grill/smoker and very well built. Assembly was definitely easy compared to the pit boss Savannah that I had. Cleaning is also pretty easy. I really like everything about this smoker.
The grill sets the level pretty high on meeting temp criteria and monitoring.
Second time buy this smoker and had problems on start up after having first generation that was three years of problems

So far so good. I thought it was going to more complex then it is. It is really simple to use. Going to try a beef brisket next. Should be great.
Sucks. Had it a year only able to use it 4 times. Starts, then shuts off after 10 minutes. But a treager

I have had my smoke fire 2 seasons now, always covered with the Weber cover when not in use. I have grilled on Weber kettles for the past 25 years, I use to be a Weber snob, then I bought the Smoke fire, which is more of an expensive patio ornament. 3 glow plugs, multiple flameouts, just all around a poorly done pellet grill, I always used Weber pellets but the problems are beyond a pellet quality, they are a feat of poor quality. This grill brings more frustrations and anger than happy grilling moments. I clean it constantly as I should but the grill is too temperamental and with 2 season, the inside area that hold the flavor covers have rusted away, after 25 years of being a Weber Snob, I am 100% done with Weber, this thing is headed to the dump.

I just got this grill at Christmas. So far I've used it twice. The first was a complete success and made the most amazing pork chops I've ever had at home. The second go at it was a rib roast. It started ok but once the meat was on for about 45 minutes the grill started smoking like mad and the temp went up to 435 from 225 where I had it set. It never sent a warning on the app (which was running) and I think it affected the outcome of the process. After resetting the grill and getting it back to 225 set point, it went the rest of the cook as normal. I believe this occurrence made the meat taste different, but since it was my first on this grill I'm not 💯! From the first grill to this one the taste and expected results were totally opposite! I will give it another run this next weekend and maybe during the week as well. I'm going to believe it was a fluke because it was highly unusual, but what if I didn't notice the high temp, would it have burned to the ground?? It will have to gain my trust back that's for sure. Other than that the features and capabilities are top of the line!
The Ex4 has major design flaws and either I got a lemon or just this model requires special attention. Weber has tried to send replacement parts but basically after a few months the circle of taking it apart starts over again. Sadly, Weber offered 20% off new purchase but I'll be going with another brand. I've been sent a retrofit kit for my hopper, new glow plugs, new auger and now after another month of use I received an E7 error code which is random after just using it so this is random. The problem is all the solutions Weber offers for this grill is not very user friendly to work on or take apart. It is time consuming. I just realized Weber is phasing out the Smokefire EX4 and EX6 and if you look at new line of pellet grills being offered it is a totally new design with the hopper .

Your feedback means a lot to us. We are very sorry to learn you are not having a great experience with your SmokeFire EX4. We are here to help. Our team of experts will be reaching out to further assist you. Please look for an outreach email from us soon. Thank you!
I've been using the SmokeFire EX4 (2nd Gen) Wood Fired Pellet Grill since Summer 2023, approximately 40 times. I bought it with the intention of retiring my Weber Smokey Mountain 14" smoker (weekly use for almost four years) and my Spirit E-210 propane grill (multiple times per week for eight years). Sadly, other reviews indicating I'd be dissatisfied with the pellet smoker as a replacement are true for me. I think the grill has great features--particularly the automatic temperature setting, as well as integration with the Weber App--but it has performance issues that make it a difficult thing to love. I have an open ticket for mysterious temperature drops and code errors that I get in about 50% of my use. It eats A LOT of pellets compared to the WSM's use of wood chips or chunks, and of course, it just can't replace the speed of a propane grill. As noted in the title, it also is hard to keep clean, both inside and out. There is a fine pellet dust that rests on the inside of the grill and most unfortunately on the food being cooked inside. The exhaust vents on the outside deposit both grease and the pellet dust onto the hopper lid, which I regard as a design flaw, which must be cleaned routinely during use if you want to access the hopper without getting grease on yourself. Reaching the back portion of the main grill is quite difficult with the top grill installed, which is not an issue in the Spirit propane grill that I've used routinely for eight years. Perhaps most infuriatingly, the price of the grill dropped by 30% about a month after I purchased it because of the launch of a new model. This information wasn't available at time of purchase and so I feel that the value of the SmokeFire compared to its performance is now ever further out of whack than I did before.

Your feedback is very important to us and we apologize for the disappointment you are experiencing. That is not the normal performance that we expect from our products, and we value the opportunity to help. Please look for a follow-up from our Care team very soon. Thank you!
I am new to pellet smokers. I have bbqd for the past 30 years in different grills/smokers. The SmokeFire is a game changer. It is easy to set up and program and delivers incredible BBQ. We have done Ribs, Pork Shoulder, Spiral Ham, Slamon and even Pizzas! Friends and family are blown away. One of the best features is ability to monitor cooks remote in the phone for grill temp, meat temp and pellet status. Love this grill!

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
