We purchased this pellet grill for an outdoor kitchen in May 2020; it has never worked. It occupies space & looks nice, but it does not work. We set the temperature & in no time, the temp is climbing...soaring. We contacted BBQ Guys and they referred us to the manufacturer, Louisiana Grills, aka, Pit Boss Grills. Louisiana Grills/Pit Boss Grills sent us a PDF of all the codes so that WE could re-program our brand new, $2k grill - their solution did not work. Contacted Louisiana Grills/Pit Boss Grills again, and they said for us to try this other set of codes - that did not work either. Then Louisiana Grills/Pit Boss Grills says we need to replace the control board on our brand new grill that we've never been able to use, but in order to do so under warranty, we needed to get the registration information. It had already been registered, and their representative had done so for us, since this is a built in grill & the serial number is in a location you can no longer see once it's installed. This new representative hadn't gone back far enough in the notes to see that our grill had already been registered. So, Louisiana Grills/Pit Boss Grills sends us a new G4 control panel/board under warranty for US to install on the brand new grill that has never worked, but they didn't send instructions. Once again, we have to contact Louisiana Grills/Pit Boss Grills. Once we get the instructions, WE install the new panel/board. Grill still doesn't work. We contacted Louisiana Grills/Pit Boss Grills, and they were apologetic & confused and said this should have fixed the problem. We set the temp to 250 & the smoker stayed between 295-300 the whole time. So now, they have sent us a grill probe with no instructions & say that the G4 board they sent us needs to be replaced...again. Still unresolved & unusable over a year later. Nobody should have to work this hard for a brand new, $2,000 grill to work. It's a lemon.

After two months of trying using this, and after 6 emails and endless time waiting for customer service...zero, nada....I keep using my $200 weber grill. I wish I would have chosen a different brand. It looks pretty and it has a pretty cool video commercial. So if you like to put your money on a useless thing go for it.
We have had issues with the grill from the beginning. We had to replace the ignitor, 2 cooling fans, and electronic control board. It took several months to receive parts. Received all the parts but no instructions. No instructions available online as well. After 6 hours 1 of them was waiting for technical support we were finally instructed you have to pull your built in grill out to access a side panel. Mind you even the technician didn't know this. After completing this task we connected everything powered on. Same error message appeared. After getting back in contact with warranty service a new part has been ordered that will take another 6 weeks to arrive. I had to specifically ask for install instructions for this part. It is very disheartening to have this pretty piece of equipment sitting there and not being used at all especially when you see the cost on this website. My contractor purchased this grill. Next time I will have input on the outdoor grill purchase.

I was so excited to order this grill and setting it up in my kitchen. I purchased it in April 2020 but my kitchen area wasn't ready until end of June. Stone wasn't in but could still use the grill. I first fired it up to do a burn off like the book says. The temperature shot up to like 600 but after like 10 mins it started to cool back down. So I shut it down and planned on using it for the forth of July. I cooked on it twice after that prior to the 4th. on July 3rd I decided to do a brisket. Just like my other pellets I set it and left it after it stayed at 215 temp. I put it on at 10 pm and was going to pull the next morning. I woke up to find a charred brisket but temp on controller still said 215. After that on the 4th I decided to cook hamburgers and dogs. Well the auger stopped working. Called support and they sent me a new auger. Installed and turned on. Auger works fine now but now the heat probe doesn't heat. Not only that, the heat from the grill caused the metal to separate. I am sooo frustrated with this grill. I hate that I made this purchase. FML! now I have a big metal door stopper and no drop in grill. Buyer Beware!!!

Had this grill for about six months and it's amazing - worked perfectly right from the start - just make sure you set the temp you want and give it enough time to stabilize to that temp otherwise you will get an initial heat spike. Only problem I've had is that the igniter apparently went bad and started tripping the GFI outlet and Danson's support sent me the wrong replacement part so still trying to get them to send me the right component to replace so I can use the grill again because right now it doesn't work at all. The support rep was nice and seemed to know what part to send so I think the warehouse guys just sent the wrong part the first time and hopefully will get it right the second time.
Purchased the grill in 2018. Grill would not stay at set temperature. Called Louisiana grill several times, every time we called they would have us troubleshoot grill nothing worked. Grill was finally replaced. We are having the Same problem we had with first grill. Grill will go from anywhere between 100-300 degrees over set temp. Louisiana grill has no one to service grill. Had I known this I would have never purchased a Louisiana Grill.

I'll start by saying BBQ guys has been great throughout this ordeal. I bought this girl originally in July of this year. Sadly, it took our construction crew a long time to finish, so I didn't get to test it for about two months. When I initially started the grill, it tripped the GFI breaker right away. After resetting it, I set the temp at the default temp of 360 to burn off construction remains as outlined in the manual. Pretty quickly the temperature climbed to 600 degrees and stayed there. I called Louisiana grill support number and was provided some codes to reset the software for grills running hot. After resetting the control codes, I again tested it...again, tripping the GFI. after resetting the GFI, the temp again rose quickly to almost 600 degrees. I called support again and they sent ,e a new igniter and a new control board. In the meantime, unbeknown to me, the pellet hopper caught fire, I assume from the high heat, and burned all night long completely discoloring the grill and leaving a thick layer of soot and creosote. The brand new grill looked like it was 10-15 years old. Louisiana grills offered to send me a new board again, and I told them if they wanted to do that it should be in a new grill. I sent pictures. In the meantime, my wife contacted BBQ guys. Between BBQ guys and Louisiana grills, I was sent a new grill. This last weekend I got it installed and tested it. Temperature was dead on and the analog thermometer agreed with the digital readout. I immediately went to the butcher for three slabs of ribs, and smoked 5em for 5 hours. The temperature remained constant and at the set point the entire time and the ribs were perfect! While this was very frustrating at first, and I had to remove 5e built in grill to replace parts myself (which just added to the frustration) in the end the replacement grill works well and I am (thus far) happy with it. I have tips if you're interested, but out of room in this review. Feel free to me

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
