Do not purchase this unit, poor quality and service. I have owned several smokers. This was my first pellet smoker. Thought originally I assembled it wrong.... nope! Then thought maybe the heating element was bad.....nope! Controller just won't maintain temp. Either 130 F or 300F nothing in between. Guess it is a good fish smoker! Do not purchase save your money!

GREAT Smoker, Assembly was easy. took 45 minutes. Set up and instructions were on point to season as well as first use. Smoked a boston butt & a Brisket first run held consistently for 8 hours, Smoke rings were impressive. I had to refill the Hopper ever 3.5 hours keeping temp at 225F. When Seasoning at 350F hopper ran out in 2.5 hours

Will not smoke and heat at the same time, and constantly overfills the crucible. It's nothing but an outside oven, at best. And masterbuilt has ZERO customer service. I will never buy from them again.

I bought this smoker thinking it was going to be less of a headache than my old firebox smoker. I was way wrong in my thinking. I have had occassions where the temperature during a smoke cycle would drop from the 230's to the 60's in an hour and not come back up to temperature without completely resetting the smoker. Thanksgiving was almost a bust because while the smoker was in the smoke cycle, the control unit decided it wanted to overfill the crucible which would not allow the heat cycle to kick back in. Luckily I checked the smoker soon enough to catch it before losing too much temp in the turkey. Customer service has pretty been non-existent. They want videos and pictures of everything that's going wrong. Everything is also done through email. I have not been able to find a customer support number anywhere. Mind you, this is not BBQ Guys support that I'm talking about, this is Masterbuilt customer service.

Got the product assembly was a breeze. Did initial break in seasoning. After that ignition quit. Got new ignition after 3 or 4 weeks still does not work. Waiting on a control panel for 2 weeks now. I just want to use my product. I really don't want to return it. I just want problem free operation like my mes40 was
Questions & Answers
Hi, Nathan. This smoker will require a grounded electrical outlet.
Asked by Nathan | Answered by BriannaHi, Adrian. This smoker is made in China.
Asked by Adrian | Answered by SethHi, Caesar. You can smoke a brisket in this smoker. As far as how long the pellets last, there's really no set time period, as that will depend on the temperature you want and how often you use the smoker.
Asked by Caesar | Answered by SethHello. The racks are about 19 X 13 inches, so a full brisket should fit without needing to split it.
Asked by blkshirt | Answered by SethHi, Chris. Yes, the temperature should drop. The temperature drops so the pellets can smolder and produce more smoke. It will go back up to your cooking temperature once the smoke cycle is finished. When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we've all come to expect for small parcels, so it's important that you're prepared and understand what's required of you well before delivery day.
- Most freight products ship on a pallet
- Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
- We'll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.
For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:
Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can't be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we've only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.
For carriers that deliver without an appointment:
Carriers that deliver without an appointment don't require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren't required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
