Order number 01071608. Son bought this for me as a replacement to my controller for my 10 year old Lil Tex Elite. But after two half hour chats, cleaning the grill, reconnecting everything, the digital controller could not hold a temp after opening the lid to the Traeger. I want to thank customer support for all the help to include three hours with Gabriel, John, and Linda. They arranged a free shipping return on this controller that says on the box, "Compatible with Pro and Elite grills". My old controller reinstalled and maintains temp at plus or minus 20 degrees and always recovers from opening the lid.

My Traeger Junior Elite 20 worked great the first year, but then stared having temperature swings. This year grilling at 225* at the 3rd hour it dropped to 65* then shot up to 475*. The flames started a grease fire and burnt the meat. Because of the temperature swings I monitor the whole cooking time and was there to shut it down. I changed the RTD Sensor, and I still have temperature swings, but not as bad at higher temperatures. I am debating if replacing the controller would fix the problem. I couldn't find any clear information if the "Traeger Digital Pro Controller" is compatible with the Junior Elite 20. Does anyone know?

This controller was provided to me by Traeger to correct a long standing problem with the grill not maintaining the desired temperature range. The grill never worked correctly since purchase and this did not fix the problem. Traeger had many opportunities to fix the problem and never could.

the face plate on the new upgrade controller is stamped F* but the digital readout is in C*. how can you go in and change the board to F*?

I bought this to replace the original controller that was on my Big Tex. Generally it works well...unless I put the setting on smoke. It keeps throwing an Ler code. I've done everything to prevent this - clean pot, low saw dust pellets, insulated cover, not smoking in cold temps. I have not been able to find a solution. Why doesn't this thing have a p setting adjustment? For the price they get for it, it should have this feature.

When will my item arrive?

If you're home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you're out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
