This is our 3rd year with this stove. We live in Lafayette, Colorado and burn about 4 cords of wood per year, so have burned around 10 cords total so far. The bottom line is that the stove works great! Since this is our first wood stove, I cannot do any generic comparisons to other wood stoves. We do not have the blower kit and so can't comment on how loud it is. Rather, we count on two ceiling fans to disperse the heat and this works really well in our living room with a vaulted ceiling. Some reviewers have reported door problems, but ours is perfect. While we have the ash kit, we have not found it particularly useful given the amount of wood we burn. It is much easier to just use the small shovel that typically comes with those fireplace tool sets. The ash lip is also nice in that it doesn't get very hot such that one can sweep it clean even when the stove is cooking. I have found that the size of the wood box is very forgiving in terms of the size of the wood I burn and will easily accommodate pieces up to about 23" long (most is typically around 16-18" long). Thus, if you cut and split your own firewood (I do), one does not have to be super careful about length. It is very easy to control the burn intensity via the air controller, although if there were any one thing I would improve it is making the movement of the air control smoother.
3rd Year Heating with this stove……I want to help anyone out that I can. Do not buy the S25. I do have a review from a year or 2 ago on here so you guys can read that too. I have had issues with my door and handle on my stove and also the blower. I have been in contact with napoleon about it. The people I talked to from napoleon were very nice to talk to but here's where I'm not going to be so nice. I have sent pictures, videos, and multiple e-mails explaining to them what is going on with my stove. They have absolutely no interest in helping me. My dealer can't fix the issue with my door and neither can the people at napoleon. And just to explain to you guys what's going on with mine. The door on my stove does not seal and the handle does not latch correctly. So when I have fires I can see inside the stove between the door seal and the frame of the stove. The blower on this stove is the loudest thing I have ever heard. This is my last review! I did ask Napoleon if they would take this stove back and they said No. So Basically I am getting 3 years out of this stove Max! These issues started after the first year. I'm hauling this stove to the dump since napoleon with not honor any kind of warranty

I had this unit installed by a local company in Michigan last week. I am very pleased with this fireplace insert so far. This first fire started did produce some smoke and a smell from the metal/paint curing. Went away after that. Heats the whole upstairs of our 1200 sq ft home so far when in the high 30's, low 40's. House easily gets to 75 degrees, could get warmer if needed. Fan run very quiet, considering some of the bad reviews for fan noise. My door does rub on the fan base below the door a little bit. Fire looks great through the large window. I am enjoying relaxing by the fire in the evenings. Great product so far!

We also did have a broken weld on the lower ash drawer (I tacked it back on). This may have happened during shipping and handling. Other than that, I feel pretty satisfied with the unit. It heats our house well. Our house is around 2600 sq. ft. with a lot of windows and 11 foot ceilings throughout. We use this unit to heat our entire house in lieu of our central HVAC. It does help to turn on our HVAC fan to route heat within our bedrooms.

Love the fireplace - well made, easy to operate, and looks fantastic.
This heats great once it gets going but the design is awful and not safe, it smokes the house up for about 10 minutes before it gets going, the company won't talk to you about it, the installer has made sure the chimney is correct, the only way we can start this fire is we have to have all windows open with fans in them. We bought this to have heat if the power went out but we can't start the fire without fans drawing the smoke out! DO NOT BUY!

I rarely leave reviews, but after this devastating purchase, I felt I must. I decided to upgrade my stove, which is used as my primary source of heat in the winter months. My chimney sweep told me that Napoleon has been around a long time and they are a solid choice. I had this stove installed and was so excited to try it out. It took 4 hours for the blower to kick on….4 hours. Once the blower did finally kick on, it was barely blowing 😳. I thought "surely this is defective. Surely it's broken". I contacted the installer and the series I bought it from. Had the installer come back out and check. Cfm measured 70 directly in front of blower on bottom of the stove, but by the time the air travels under, behind, and back out the top, it was only blowing 20-25 cfm. 20-25 CFM! Much to the installers surprise (and mine), he this was told this is considered "normal" from the Napoleon company. They explained the loss of air flow when traveling the places the air must go, and hear ads to the loss. So why design the stove like this?? I am so devastated as I have invested a lot of money to downgrade (to say the least) from what I had before. I'm having to set a fan in front of my expensive new stove, in order to distribute heat throughout my house.

When will my item arrive?
Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight.
